Yesterday was International Mental Health Day
Even though the day has passed, the message remains urgent and timeless — mental health is not a one-day conversation.

Every smile we wear may be hiding exhaustion. Every “I’m fine” might be masking silent battles.
We live in a world that celebrates productivity but often forgets the weight our minds carry to keep up.

It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to not be okay. It’s okay to seek help, talk, cry, or take a break from everything that drains you.
Your mental well-being deserves the same priority as your goals, family, or career. Because without peace of mind, even success feels empty.

Question: When last did you truly check in with yourself — not your phone, not your work, but you?

🥚 Pregnancy & Cultural Beliefs
Some cultures say pregnant women shouldn’t eat eggs — “the child will steal.” 😅 Please but why???

Some Nigerians still believe that sickness comes from village people 👀

But sometimes what we call “attack” is actually high blood pressure or diabetes.

💄 Do you think our beliefs help or delay treatment?

🌿 Herbs are part of our roots — but mixing them with prescribed drugs can harm your liver or kidneys.

Do we really know the safe dose to take? 🤔

And why is it that one single herb is often claimed to “cure” multiple illnesses affecting different organs?

Tradition is beautiful — but safety is better.

Let’s not lose lives trying to keep culture.

Would you still use herbs if you knew they could react with your medications?

👣 Diabetes Feet Alert!
Diabetes can cause nerve damage (neuropathy) and poor blood flow, making your feet vulnerable to wounds, infections, and even ulcers.

✅ Check your feet daily for cuts, sores, or swelling.
✅ Keep them clean and dry.
✅ Wear comfortable shoes that protect, not squeeze.
✅ Never ignore pain, tingling, or numbness.

❓When last did you take a good look at your feet?

😂 My dear, swollen feet can mean different things o — but let’s not blame the village people just yet!

Swelling in the feet (what doctors call edema) can actually be a sign of an underlying health issue, such as:

💓 Heart problems — when the heart isn’t pumping blood properly.

🧠 Kidney or liver issues — causing the body to retain fluid.

🍟 Too much salt, standing or sitting for long periods.

💊 Certain medications like for blood pressure or diabetes.

🤰 Pregnancy or hormonal changes.

So before you call a family meeting, it’s best to check your BP, kidney function, and heart health first.

👉 What do you think — medical check-up first or prayer and anointing oil? 😅
