CSC counselling, clinical supervision and Training

CSC counselling, clinical supervision and Training It can be daunting approaching someone for help. These are quite normal worries. I offer short and long term therapy for clients.

Counselling for Teenagers and Adults. 🧠 Specialising in Neurodivergents and Trauma. 🧠creator of NeuroNest by CSC accredited Member of the BACP contact Charlotte 07486 411781. You may worry that your problem isn't bad enough, that you're wasting my time or that I'll be shocked by and judgmental about what you may disclose. Most people, once they have asked for help or disclosed something they felt

they never could, generally wish they had done it much sooner. The most important part of the therapy is often the relationship between therapist and client and it is important that you feel comfortable and trust your instincts when choosing someone to talk to. I offer the core conditions in counseling, meaning I will provide a safe, confidential place to explore your thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental and excepting environment. My style of counselling is integrative, meaning I draw on different counselling theories tailoring the sessions to the clients needs. What to expect within Children's Counselling. My Certificate in Counseling Children through the Charity Place2Be means I am qualified to use different techniques such as, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy and Art Therapy. All my sessions are Child-lead meaning I see us as equals and value the thoughts, feelings and experiences your child may bring to the therapeutic process. I offer a wide range of art and play materials including paints, clay, puppets, play figures, masks and sand. Children may use their time in any way they like, as long as the space remains safe. I will follow their lead and communicate with them via the material they have chosen, whatever it may be, including talking, playing or silence. It is often easier for children to express their internal thoughts and dramas through drawing and playing rather than sitting and talking and these sessions give them the opportunity to do just that. Once feelings have been expressed verbally or non-verbally they can be talked about more openly, acknowledged, contained and hopefully moved on from. Each child is given their own box to store artwork in or use in any way they would like. They take the box home with them on their last session. Please be aware that I only have waiting rooms in my Sidcup and Greenwich practices. I hold a full DBS and follow the Child Protection regulations. We will have an initial assessment session of 50 minutes; 45 mins for children, in which we can explore whether what I offer is appropriate for you or your child and we can decide whether we feel we can work together or not. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (registration number 152552)

Even writing this, I can feel my nervous system react— my body remembers every story before I finish telling it. Once an undiagnosed ND teen myself, 3 ND kids and so many clients, stored within my body.

Over ten years of listening to minds that were never the problem, only the rooms they were asked to fit inside.

Still learning how much softer the world could be if we stopped asking different brains to bend and started building places where they can breathe.

⭐️Be the adult who listens before the unhealthy label⭐️

⭐️Be the nervous system that feels safe to land in⭐️

⭐️Be the reason a kid doesn’t have to shrink to belong⭐️

⭐️Be the one who chooses understanding over control⭐️

⭐️Be the place where different doesn’t mean “too much.”🥺⭐️

Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙

For me, this isn’t just professional—it’s deeply personal.

I spent 10 years fighting to get my son diagnosed.
10 years of being unheard, dismissed, and told not to worry.

That journey changed everything.

It’s why I now do the work I do through CSC Therapies, Delivering training on Neurodivergence including training on how autism and ADHD presents in girls— too many are still being missed, misunderstood, or diagnosed far too late.

Autism doesn’t look one way.
And it’s time our understanding truly reflects that.

Today isn’t just about awareness—it’s about listening, recognising, and doing better.

For every parent still fighting: I see you ❤️

Something I’ve learned from being both a therapist and a woman …

Strength isn’t always the version of us that looks put together, it’s far from it.

Sometimes strength is crying in the car and still showing up.

Sometimes not showing up is exactly what you need.
You might be missed — but if you’re judged for it, you’re probably in the wrong room.

Sometimes it’s setting a boundary that terrifies you.

Sometimes it’s admitting you’re not okay.

I’ve seen so many women in the therapy room believe they have to be everything for everyone, but in truth that means there is little left for themselves.

But here’s the truth: You’re allowed to break.

And you can do all of that and still be an absolute badass.

You are not here to be perfect. You can be real.

You’re not here to meet every expectation, shrink yourself,or hold everything together for everyone else.

You’re allowed to break, allowed to rest, allowed to change.

And you’re powerful.

To every woman doing the brave work of healing, growing, and becoming —

You don’t have to be unbreakable to be strong. You can also f # up along the way, I know I do.

Happy International Women’s Day to the women doing the sometimes exhausting work of being human. 💜

Love this picture of the little team that CSC sponsor. It makes me sad that this generation will be very unlikely to have a relationship with someone who has lived experience of these traumatic years. I’m very grateful of the very few stories I was privy to hear, the connection, shock, disbelief and empathy held over small snippets, now just a day in history. Days like these allow us to share memories that have been passed down through generations, and allow these brave people’s stories to never be forgotten. I know the managers great grandad would be very proud of this photo. After serving as a marine in the war, he got married on Christmas Day as it was the only day they had together, they went on to have a family and he too started a football team for his son (where they played in doc martens 🫣😂). He had the joy of watching from the sidelines, managing his son and watching his grandson playing and I know if possible, he would of stood proudly on the sideline watching you. ❤️ 🌺

long time ago in a far away galaxy. No actually it was 15 min walk away 🤣. This girl walked out with her GCSE results.. all E’s and F’s…. She walked back in the next year for retakes and got the same results…. No understanding of my Dyslexia or ADHD and how I learn differently. I got jobs, good jobs and with creativity, flare and determination I lived life. 10 years ago, around this time, I passed my level 4 diploma in counselling and then my diploma in counselling children through play! (Who knew the girl that struggled could complete 2 level 4s in a year, with 3 kids a home and working part time). I then have gone on to train in lots of areas, upskill myself, up to a level 6. Today, my second level 5 popped through the door!!!! What ever you get today…. Be proud, you have a long way to go in life and lots of roads to take ❤️❤️

While on the therapist retreat I hit my 10 year anniversary of leaving college! Exam done, no idea of the results, but my learning and growth in college completed. What I didn’t know is what I would build, how my business model would change, what growth would come personally and professionally, how venerability would be ok and connect me with the most amazing people. How many times I would be in and out of therapy and how many cheerleaders new and old would be there. Eternally grateful ❤️ CSC

THE SECRET IS OUT 🎉 Back in January, invited me on their podcast to talk about Neurodivergents and trauma in a school setting. After a night of chaperoning at panto, we jumped online and finished at 1am 😱 and that was only as I become aware of the time. I honestly think we could have talked for hours and I know there will be a part 2 at some point,,when time difference allows. Amazing to be called a powerhouse too!! Thank you so much for having me and making me feel so comfortable. This was so outside my comfort zone, however Shana really valued my opinion and her general curiosity in my experience and knowledge made it easy. Episode drops next Wednesday.

I’ve been super quiet recently and there is a reason!

Not only has my practice been really busy, I have been upskilling and in the middle of completing my CPCAB level 5 in somatic therapy! Back to criteria writing and triad work 🫣.

If you haven’t heard of somatic work it’s a bottom up approach working and connecting to the feelings in your body. Instead of top down (talking therapy, using your brain) While I have been folding this into practice for a few years after trauma training, i wanted to fully emerge the process into full somatic sessions. I’ll share more of the benefits throughout the weeks, but just wanted to say Hi 👋🏻 and the reason I have been awol…..

I LOVE the teens i work with, we have a great therapeutic relationship, they spill the T with me, cry laugh, work through their s**t! I work with them to take control, boundries, look at their reactions, break the unhealthy coping mechanisms, replace them with healthy, look at the role they play in situations/school drama and also with the teans permission we work as a wrap a round with the parents. As tweaks to the environment can help too. I’ve worked with over 100 teens and young people in 2024. Some have been with me for years and pop in and out, when needed, the smile when i open the door means everything! Some come for short term, some have been with me for the year, some are are jist starting. Where ever they are in the process, every session is about them and they know, when the tough work is over and its time to finish, the door can be opened as fast as it was pulled too behind them. its only ever pulled too, and behind them as they are in control of the ending, i dont shut it (metaphorically). So as i look to finish 2024 going into 2025, and entering my 10 year in this crazy world, i love so much. I smile and feel extremly humble that i’m blessed enough to be on the journey with them. Merry christmas my lovely lot (you know who you are 🥰). My first few weeks in Jan are full already, but if you think you or your teen would like my approach, book a 20 min free into chat and we will see what we can do…. And clients, if you haven’t booked in, get on the booking system or email me ❤️.
