We all had a wonderful day visiting the Horniman Museum, with so much to see and enjoy throughout the visit. Everyone loved exploring the fascinating taxidermy displays, which sparked lots of conversation, curiosity, and shared memories, as well as spending time at the aquarium watching the colourful fish and marine life swim by.

For some of them , this was their very first visit to the museum, making the experience even more special. A few even shared that the trip had made their week, as they enjoyed discovering somewhere new and taking part in such a memorable outing.

It was a relaxed and meaningful day, giving everyone the opportunity to learn something new, enjoy each other’s company, and create lovely moments together outside the home. 💙

From live entertainment that gets toes tapping , to cosy film afternoons in our cinema with freshly baked popcorn , baking up sweet treats together and getting creative with colouring and crafts. With weekly exercise classes, archery classes and art classes , some days even call for a relaxing wine and cheese afternoon 🧀🍷
We believe in creating an environment where residents can stay active, social, and engaged, while also enjoying moments of relaxation and choice. Our activities are designed to encourage connection, creativity, and laughter, and it truly shows.

🎷 What a lovely day we had as our residents enjoyed a fantastic saxophone performance by Lou Everitt 🎶✨

There were lots of smiles, singing, and shaking of pompoms as everyone joined in and had fun, whether the singing was good or bad, it was all about enjoying the moment ❤️ Music really does bring so much joy, laughter to our home.

A big thank you to Lou Everitt for such an uplifting performance, we loved every minute and look forward to more musical moments like this 🎷👏

We had a very special celebration in the home on Saturday. We wished our wonderful Edna a very Happy 100th Birthday 🎂 🎉 Edna and her family came together to celebrate in the bar bistro. The room was filled with love and laughter and great memories were made 🥰.

Thank you to all the teams for making this such a special day. A delicious buffet was made by our amazing chef and kitchen team. And our Bistro team for their brilliant waitressing and keeping the drinks flowing 🥂🍾

Our weekly Boxercise session had everyone up and moving, stretching their muscles, and enjoying a fantastic burst of energy. This fun and gentle activity is a great way to improve mobility, coordination, and strength while keeping both body and mind active.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and encouragement as residents took part at their own pace, proving that staying active can be enjoyable and inclusive for everyone. Our residents enjoyed an outing to the tenpin bowling alley, where they proudly showed off their skills and enjoyed some friendly competition. The atmosphere was filled with encouragement, smiles, and a wonderful sense of togetherness as everyone took turns on the lanes.

The trip also brought back some very special memories , for one resident, the experience sparked fond reflections of playing outdoor bowls with his wife 🌿❤️, reminding us just how powerful meaningful activities can be in reconnecting people with cherished moments from their past.

Every two weeks, our residents look forward to taking part in Buki sewing class, a much-loved activity that brings both creativity and conversation. These sessions give everyone the chance to reflect back on sewing skills they have used throughout their lives, sparking wonderful memories and stories from years gone by.

It’s heart-warming to see residents so engaged as they focus on stitching, sharing tips, and encouraging one another. The class is not only about sewing, but also about confidence, connection, and enjoying time together in a relaxed and supportive environment. We enjoyed doing a baking session, where we took part in making delicious cakes together 🍰👩‍🍳 The activity created a calm, enjoyable atmosphere and filled the home with the comforting smell of freshly baked treats.

In the afternoon, residents relaxed in our cinema to watch a film, complete with freshly popped popcorn 🍿🎬 This was a lovely opportunity for everyone to unwind, socialise, and enjoy a shared experience.

What an amazing day out at the London Excel Centre for the Pompeii Immersive Exhibition! 🏛️✨ Everyone thoroughly enjoyed stepping back in time and exploring the fascinating history of Pompeii in such an engaging and interactive way.

A real highlight of the day was the virtual reality experience, which everyone absolutely loved — giving everyone the chance to feel fully immersed in the sights and atmosphere of ancient Pompeii. It sparked lots of conversation, curiosity, and wonderful shared moments.

We had such a lovely day out at Bluewater with our wonderful ladies 💙
Even though the weather was cold, it certainly didn’t stop us!
The day started with a much-needed Costa coffee and some delicious food, followed by a relaxing wander around the shops. There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and moments to enjoy together… and of course, the ladies couldn’t resist getting a little distracted by the sparkling diamonds ✨💎

🎄✨ What a truly wonderful Christmas party! Everyone had a fantastic time celebrating together and enjoying the festive atmosphere. The highlight of the night was the brilliant live entertainment from Lloyd Ellery, who helped bring so much joy, laughter, and Christmas spirit to everyone in attendance.

We would also like to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing staff who worked so hard behind the scenes and on the day to make this event such a success. Your teamwork helped create a memorable celebration that was enjoyed by all.
