Want to know the secret to successful social media posts?
Use videos or reels.
The moving image is much more engaging to audiences than a purely text based post, single image, or even a carousel of images.
So try out a video, or if you are feeling brave, a reel
You don't even need to be in the video: instead show off your work station, products, or process.

Having the Monday blues?
Instead, practise the art of gratitude and write down everything you are appreciative of (family, health, weather) and then all the good things that are happening to you this week - whether that's meeting up with a friend or having a takeaway on Friday. If you've got nothing planned, book something in or go buy yourself your favourite chocolate bar. ๐Ÿ˜€
Keeping track of things you have to be thankful for gives you a more positive outlook (even on a Monday morning) and has many mental and physical health benefits including:
โค๏ธ Improved sleep
๐Ÿงก Higher resilience levels
๐Ÿ’› Lowers stress
So get that favourite notepad of yours, and fill it with the wonderful things in your life ๐Ÿ˜€

It's not selfish.
It actually leads to:
โค๏ธ You becoming more productive
๐Ÿงก Your confidence growing
๐Ÿ’› Greater appreciation of the people and things around you (which leads to greater happiness)
๐Ÿ’š Better relationships with others
๐Ÿ’™ And a better relationship with yourself
๐Ÿ’œ Improved mental health
So what are you waiting for? Do something today to put yourself first...
Now I'm just off to have a bath before bedtime ๐Ÿ˜‰

This weekend we've headed down to Milford-on-sea for a little holiday. So I'm going to make the most of it and also have a social media break at the same time (they are super important every now and again to help your mental health).
What are you up to this weekend? I hope it's lovely and sunny where you are!!
See you again next week! And...... Relax!!

Does anyone else have a bedtime routine?
I have a toxic relationship with sleep because of my ME, so I need a very rigid bedtime routine to prepare me for going to sleep (and to help me feel slightly refreshed the next day). This includes:
๐Ÿ’ค Switching off my phone at 8pm
๐Ÿ’ค Having a hot bath (or shower if I'm running out of time)
๐Ÿ’ค Drinking a chamomile tea
๐Ÿ’ค Taking some time to do my relaxing beauty regime (I use tropic and body shop products mostly)
๐Ÿ’ค Putting on candles and making myself a hot water bottle if it's cold
๐Ÿ’ค Writing a gratitude diary to remember the good things for the day, and to write down any niggling worries to empty my mind and calm it down for the night
๐Ÿ’ค Reading a book until I'm feeling dozey and can barely keep my eyes open
๐Ÿ’ค Normally going to sleep around 10pm
I can really feel the difference if I deviate from this routine, so this is my daily self care practice; where I know putting myself first in this way will make me better and more tolerable to everyone tomorrow ๐Ÿ˜œ
What are your non-negotiable self care routines or activities? Let me know in the comments.
