Life’s been given a whole new purpose. We’d like to introduce you to Otis Alfred Benjamin-Smith. A chunky 8lb 10oz his birth wasn’t exactly smooth sailing but Georgia was an absolute superwoman throughout. We’re feeling overwhelmed with love and gratitude right now.😍

Unfortunately this does mean that any appointments booked in with me over the next couple of weeks will be postponed whilst we settle in at home. I’ll be in touch to rearrange, or if anything urgent comes up, Emily and Kathryn are available in clinic 👊

Full circle moment presenting at the UH Employability Event yesterday. It was a real privilege to be invited back to share, alongside the other alumni, our journeys, the opportunities we took along the way, and what life looks like now for us. 🎤

Swipe to see the difference!

This patient came in with ongoing knee pain 🦵. After ruling out any structural issues ✅, we performed a few special tests - including the Thomas test (pictured) - this revealed tight hip flexors and quads ⚠️.

What did that tell us?
• The thigh wasn’t able to drop flat to the table = tight iliopsoas
• The knee started to extend instead of staying bent = tight re**us femoris (quad)

Both of these create an anterior pull on the pelvis and tension around the kneecap, likely causing patella maltracking and that general knee discomfort.

With some soft tissue release and a tailored home exercise program 🧘🏽‍♂️, they’re now running and working pain free! 🏃‍♂️✨

Moral of the story?
Knee pain isn’t always about the knee. There could be a simple fix you’re overlooking.
