The Government have announced a Lockdown from Midnight tonight. I would urge everyone to follow the rules and help protect the NHS and the Vulnerable. It’s been a very busy time for our crews and it will be even busier over the next few weeks. Everyone can do their bit. Thanks to all those supporting so far. Stay safe everyone.

It’s the time of year to be especially careful and warn your family and friends of scam calls. The latest one phones from a mobile and asks you to log on to a phoney website. Especially in lockdown it’s really important to be vigilant.

Be safe. JA

It’s International Control Room week. We couldn’t do our job without our amazing South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust control room staff. They give amazing advice to people dialling 999 & 111 and often take a lot of verbal abuse. They really are and we thank them for the amazing job under immense pressure.

Today reminds us again of the tragic events that happen across the uk Emergency Services. Thoughts with Ambulance colleagues, police colleagues and Fire and Rescue colleagues on a tragic day for all three services.

Stay safe out there.

Tonight we pay tribute to Rev: Simon Woodmore, HART Operations Manager for LAS HART and a good friend who passed away yesterday. Simon was the best of us, a massive character. A huge loss to the Ambulance Service and we send our condolences to his family and colleagues.

Most of all we will miss him, the great friend that he was. RIP Simon. The thin green line is a little bit thinner tonight. Stand down mate your shift is done.
