EMFS Group

EMFS Group EMFS Group is the UK's premier provider of emergency medical, fire safety, and training solutions. Your safety, our priority.

Committed to 24/7 safety excellence, we serve events, festivals, and corporate needs with unmatched expertise and dedication. We believe that one of the strengths of our company is our senior leadership team; we have over 50 years front-line firefighting experience, positioning us as a leading contender for any type of public festival or large event where silver commanders may be required. The senior team pride themselves on managing a quasi-military style business and building the foundations of Event Fire Solutions on the cornerstones of competence, honesty and integrity whilst focusing upon service delivery and the needs of our customers. An example of a high profile project we managed was that of the London Olympics where we deployed teams of over 100 staff a day and on most occasions with very little notice. All of our managers are fully qualified in incident command, and able to handle any circumstances. Trained in all levels of Incident Command from Bronze to Gold this enables them to make the high pressure risk critical lifesaving decisions. Our managers have vast amounts of operational experience and have all successfully managed 1000’s of incidents and 100’s of events across the country.

Fire Risk Assessments aren’t just best practice, they’re a legal requirement in the UK.

If you’re responsible for a workplace, event, venue or construction site, you have a legal duty to ensure a suitable Fire Risk Assessment is in place.

Understanding when one is required and who is responsible is essential for compliance, safety, and protecting lives.

Fire safety isn’t optional. It’s a responsibility.

If you’re unsure whether your current fire safety arrangements are compliant, send us a DM for a no-obligation conversation.

In 2022, Alex was involved in a serious road traffic collision, struck from behind at high speed while completely stationary.
His wife witnessed the entire impact, and so did the EMFS team of Ambulance Care Assistants who happened to be on scene. They were the first to reach him, supporting his wife and caring for Alex in the immediate aftermath.

For many, that moment would mark an ending.
For Alex, it became a turning point.

The experience reawakened a calling he had left behind in 2002: the drive to care for people.

Not long after the collision, Alex joined EMFS as an Ambulance Care Assistant, becoming part of the very same team that helped him.

His story is a reminder that sometimes the hardest moments don’t break us, they bring us back to who we’re meant to be.

Have you ever experienced anything like this?

Someone faints in a crowd...

A, B and C are all the right actions… just not in the same order.

Why are fire engines red?
It is one of the most debated topics on our recent posts, so we decided to break down the real history behind the colour choice and why it made sense at the time.

From visibility in early 1900s streets to pride, tradition and cultural expectation, the story is more interesting than most people realise.

And as the world has moved forward, so has the thinking behind how a fleet could be designed.
Our black and battenburg fleet reflects modern safety, modern professionalism and a forward thinking approach to emergency and event services.

We have put together a full breakdown in our latest blog, including the true history, modern fleet innovation and why EMFS chooses to lead with progress rather than tradition.

Redefining the Look of Fire Safety

Traditionally, fire appliances have been instantly recognisable in red, a symbol of response, urgency and action.
But at EMFS Group, we’ve never been content to simply follow tradition.

Innovation is built into everything we do, from the technology that powers our emergency and event response, to the very way we present ourselves. Our fleet transformation reflects that mindset.

Our signature black and battenburg design doesn’t just turn heads. It represents modern professionalism, operational excellence and a forward-thinking approach to emergency and event safety.

Our fleet design sparked a new direction in the industry, one that others have since embraced. That’s what leadership looks like: innovating first, inspiring next.

Today, EMFS operates one of the most advanced and capable fleets in the industry, built to handle everything from aviation fires and water rescue to film and television safety and beyond.

This post is more than a look at our vehicles, it’s a reflection of how far we’ve come and how we continue to lead through innovation.

On this day, we remember all who gave their lives in service.Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
