Being a yoga teacher can feel really hard at the start.

You come out of your 200hr…
You know how to sequence.
You know how to teach a class.

But then what?

You realise you want to understand bodies on a deeper level.
Not just shapes.
Not just cues.

You want to actually help people.

That was me.

And what I found was this bridge…
Between yoga and hands-on work.
Between seeing the body and actually feeling it.

Thai yoga massage.

It helped me understand the body differently.
Energy systems started to make more sense.
And suddenly I wasn’t just teaching poses…
I was supporting people in a completely new way.

So if you’re a yoga teacher feeling like something’s missing…
This might be it.

I’m running a weekend training:
Thai Yoga Massage for Yoga Teachers

Where you’ll learn simple techniques you can use:
– 1:1 with clients
– In small group settings
– Even in those longer savasanas

Think… foot massage, hands-on support, assisted stretches.

Stuff your students will love.

If that’s been on your mind lately…
Message me “THAI MASSAGE” and I’ll send you the details.

Being a mum is sometimes blooming ridiculous 😅

This morning I went for a run… pushed myself a little further than I expected… and at the end, the voice in my ear said:

“Go home, stretch, do something nice for yourself… have a bath.”

And my first thought?

“Yeah… but I’ve got things to do.”

The to-do list.
The dinner.
The work.
The endless “I’ll do it after…”

And I caught myself thinking…
Why do we feel like we have to earn rest?

Why is looking after ourselves always the last thing on the list?

So yes… I did the to-do list.
But then I stopped… and I gave myself that bath.

And honestly?
It felt like such a small thing… but also everything.

So if you’re like me, and that little voice is always telling you to keep going…

This is your reminder:
✨ You don’t need to earn your rest
✨ You don’t need permission to slow down
✨ You deserve it already

Take the time.
Have the bath.
Book the massage.
Go to the yoga class.

Because you’re doing an amazing job—and that’s more than enough 💛

If you struggle with skandhasana… this will help.

You know that feeling where you almost have it
but the heel lifts
you lose balance
and everything just feels a bit… off?

Try this instead.

Start in a normal malasana squat.
Get your hips as low as you can.

Then slowly extend one leg out.

One at a time. No rush.

Find that point where you can still breathe
where your weight feels steady
where it clicks.

Hands together.
Stay for a moment.
Then switch sides.

At some point… it just makes sense in your body.

No forcing. No overthinking.

Just practice.

Give it a go at home and let me know how it feels.

People often think Thai Yoga Massage is just stretching.

And yes… there are stretches.

But that’s not actually the point.

What makes Thai Massage powerful is everything happening around the stretch.

Compression.
Working along Sen lines.
Rhythm.
Breath.
Reading how someone’s body responds to touch.

The stretch is just the visible part.

What you’re really learning is how to move someone’s body safely and intelligently.

How to use your own body properly so you’re not straining your hands or wrists.

And how to maintain connection the whole way through a treatment.

Anyone can copy shapes from a video.

Understanding what you’re doing is something completely different.

That’s the difference between dabbling in techniques and actually training.

If Thai Yoga Massage has been sitting quietly in the back of your mind for a while… this is your nudge to explore it properly.

I get messages every week from people who are curious but unsure.

“Am I experienced enough?”
“Would I actually use it?”
“Is the course right for me?”

That’s exactly why I offer clarity calls.

It’s not a sales pitch.
It’s just a conversation.

We talk about where you’re at, what you’re curious about, and whether the Foundation would actually suit you.

Sometimes the answer is yes.
Sometimes it’s not yet.

Both are useful.

If learning Thai Yoga Massage has been on your radar — whether for professional work or simply to develop a deeper skill — you’re welcome to book one.

Send me “call” and I’ll send you the link.

Second to last weekend of the Thai Yoga Massage Foundation Course.

All the core content is now learnt.

This weekend we finished with face and neck massage… which always ends up being everyone’s favourite. Slow, grounding work that people absolutely melt into.

Watching this group over the last few months has been incredible. Their confidence has grown so much. The way they move around the body, the quality of their touch, the understanding of the work… it’s completely different to when they first started.

Next session they’ll be giving their full two hour massages.

Then they’ll begin their case studies and start sharing this work with the world.

Honestly I couldn’t be prouder of them. Seeing people go from curious beginners to confident practitioners is one of the best parts of teaching this course.

If you’re working on your splits… try this.

Stop forcing it.
Stop yanking yourself to the floor.

Approach your splits like you would in a yin class.

Use props.
More than you think you need.

Blocks under your hands.
Maybe a bolster under your hips.
Create a position where you can actually breathe.

Find that edge.
Not too big.
Not too little.

The place where you feel something… but your nervous system doesn’t go into panic mode.

Set a timer for five minutes.
Every minute, remove a block.
Or swap to a lower height.

Let your hips open when they’re ready.
Let your hamstrings feel safe first.

As you get closer to the ground, you can add a tiny sway.
Maybe a soft bounce.
Keep checking your alignment.

And before you know it… you’re there.
Without fighting your body to get there.

Do five minutes each side.

And don’t be surprised if this one brings up more than just tight hamstrings. Hips hold a lot.

Try it at home and tell me how it feels.

Our weekend classes have been so well supported… we’ve added another one.

From next week:

Hot Hatha Flow
Saturdays
9am

This class is all about alignment and intention.

Not rushing.
Not flinging yourself through poses.

You’ll have time to set up properly.
Time to understand where your body is in space.
Time to build real strength.

It’s steady. Grounded. Controlled.
With enough flow to keep it fluid and connected to your breath.

The heat helps you open.
The alignment keeps you safe.

If you love structure.
If you want to refine your practice.
If weekday evenings feel hectic…

This is your Saturday reset.

Booking is open now via Momoyoga.
