We would love to officially introduce to you all Jess! Our lovely new Physiotherapy Assistant! Most of you will have seen her around clinic recently so for those of you who haven’t, here is a little bit from the lady herself…

“Hi Everyone!
I’m really excited to have started my journey as a Physiotherapy Assistant at Ability Therapies. During my time in school, I was always interested in sports and healthcare so when the role arose it seemed like a great opportunity for me to begin working in this field of work which I am passionate about.   
Being part of this team allows me to be involved in each child and their families journey, seeing them challenge themselves and progress. Each day provides so many different experiences, all of them allowing me to expand my knowledge on paediatric physiotherapy alongside the amazing team here who have such a range of knowledge. As I learn more, I hope to make positive and purposeful impacts on the children I work with while making the sessions as fun as possible!”

Today is World Cerebral Palsy (CP) Day! A day where all of our amazing CP heroes should be celebrated!

All of our children and young people at Ability Therapies are stars in our eyes, but as Cerebral Palsy is the majority diagnosis for which we treat, we really want to highlight the common theme amongst the children we see a diagnosis of CP; life throws ongoing challenges to both the individual and the families/care teams, however the resilience these heroes show is nothing short of remarkable. Their bravery, determination and patience are beyond inspirational and they leave us all here at Ability Therapies feeling truly in awe.

So not only do we want to celebrate all you CP heroes, but we also want to say Thank You…

Thank you for the strength, joy, and unique perspectives you bring to the world—you inspire us to see ability, courage, and kindness in new ways every day. We feel so fortunate to be part of all of your journeys.

Everyone at Ability Therapies would like to wish our amazing Grace a very Happy Birthday! 🥳

Grace has been a hugely wonderful asset to the team, and the children adore her. We are so grateful for everything Grace does to make every hero’s therapy session as fun and enjoyable as possible, whilst showing her natural care and kindness throughout.

We are also excited to announce that Grace will be embarking upon her studies this month to become a Physiotherapist! 👩‍🎓

Don’t worry… you will still see her around clinic but just a little less whilst she is studying! 📖

On behalf of all of us at Ability Therapies, we are sure you would like to join us in celebrating the most wonderful news of Kirsty, and her husband John welcoming their beautiful baby girl, Lilly Hope Walter on 15/09/2025. 💖

She is utterly gorgeous, and a credit to her amazing parents. Her big brother James has already stepped up to being the most caring sibling, and we are so overjoyed for them all!

We hope Kirsty and her family can enjoy this precious time together.

We would love to officially introduce Antonia to you all- our wonderful new Physiotherapist! We feel so fortunate that Antonia has joined our team, and we know she has already made such a difference to the families she has started to work with!

Here is a little bit from Antonia:

“Hello, I’m Antonia! I recently graduated from the University of East Anglia with a degree in Physiotherapy, and I’m so excited to have been given the opportunity to work with the team at Ability Therapies. From early on in my studies, I knew I wanted to work with children, and help make a positive impact on their lives and I feel incredibly lucky to be starting my career in such a supportive and inspiring environment.
I’m passionate about helping children reach their full potential, and I’m looking forward to continue developing my skills from the experienced team here while building strong relationships with the children and families. I can’t wait to meet you all!”

We just wanted to say a huge congratulations to our incredible Emma who graduated today. 👩‍🎓

Some of you will know Emma’s journey from the beginning - Emma started as an assistant supporting Kirsty and Mel at the very beginning of Ability Therapies. Her enthusiasm, compassion, patience and dedication shone through and we know how much the families and their heroes adore her. ☺️

Emma then chose to embark upon an apprenticeship - a long, challenging 4 years later we could not be prouder of Emma qualifying as a Chartered Physiotherapist and finally attending her graduation today.

Emma will always be humble, but we know how hard she worked and how amazing she is! So please congratulate her again when you next see her! 🤩
