As we come to the close of another year, I’d like to take a moment to wish all of our colleagues, service users, partners, and friends a very Merry Christmas.

This season is a time to reflect, give thanks, and appreciate the people who make what we do possible. I am incredibly grateful for the hard work, dedication, and support shown throughout the year, and I’m proud of everything we have achieved together.

# Drug alert for the Devon area #

Please be aware that a contaminated form of Xanax (a type of benzodiazepine) is thought to be in circulation in Exeter and surrounding areas. The tablets are said to be red in colour and sold with a street name of ‘red devils’.

These tablets are thought to be involved in multiple overdoses and hospitalisations in the Exeter area in recent weeks. These tablets carry an increased risk of overdose, so please use extra caution if you do use substances and come across these tablets.

It is obviously safest to avoid them all together, but if you will still be using these or similar substances then there are some ways you can lessen the risk

- Avoid mixing with other substances (Alcohol, Opioids, Gabapentinoids etc)
- Don’t use substances on your own if possible, if you do then try and let someone else know what and when you are using, so they can check you are safe.
- Start slow go slow, take a small amount and wait to feel the effects before using any more
- Be aware! Tablets that look the same can vary in strength considerably! They can be unpredictable

Also please remember that If you feel you or someone you know is at risk of overdose that Together provide free Naloxone kits and training that can reverse an op**te or opioid overdose. For free access to Naloxone kits please contact Together drug & alcohol service, 0800 233 5444 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Bank Staff Mental Health Support Workers who are also required to drive. In this role, you will provide vital support and care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges in a community setting.
