Creative Mojo visited Highwood Care Home this week 🎨

Yesterday at Highwood was about learning new games, word cubes for the mind and aiming for our eye hand coordination. ✨

We also relaxed with a yoga session. 🧘

A special thank you to Carol from Bude who made some lovely lap blankets for our residents!

We finished the day with a quiz on birds hosted by our resident Julia. Another quiz with great knowledge behind it 🪶

🎶Torridge male voice choir came to visit highwood today 🎶

Both Grenville and Kingsley communities enjoyed the songs, which brought back happy memories. We were also treated to a flautist as part of the performance. 🪈

It was a wonderful way to bring friends together and have a sing song .🤝

Tuesday 27th January was very busy for both Kingsley & Grenville residents.
We started our morning with a visit from St Mary's C of E church for communion service at the same time, Volunteer Shirley facilitated BSL Club.
The Highlight of the afternoon was a visit from volunteer quiz master Nick. Our general knowledge was tested Winners were from both communities; John from Kingsely and Julia from Grenville tying for first place.
We also had a visit from Dave, with his dog Jess.

🌺Highwood Care Home🌺

A fun filled lookback at Janurary so far in our home. We Started our month with music from Vienna, New Years Day concert. Both Kingsley and Grenville communities have enjoyed Winter Themed art sessions in cool tones

A huge thank you to our volunteers who have brought such joy with therapy dog sessions and knowledge through quizzes and sign language class.

We have not neglected our health either with Yoga every Monday and biweekly Zumba and Qi Gong.

It is always lovely to see our residents connecting with song and enjoying a full and active life
