Using a Cork roller has so many benefits...

✨️Releasing tension

✨️Soothing for the plantar area of your foot

Specifically placing the roller under your heel and applying body weight pressure helps:

Don't you think scents steal the show during the autumn season - whether it's in the the form of a candle burning, some festive baking, or a warm and spicy drink...

What are some of your favourite autumn scents? 🧡🍂🍁

Warming essential oils, known for their spicy, earthy or woody scents, include Black Pepper, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove Bud, Ginger, Juniper Berry, Marjoram, Rosemary, Sandalwood, and Frankincense.

These oils can be used in diffusers, baths, or diluted in a carrier oil to help warm the body, improve circulation, ease muscle aches, and create a cozy, stimulating atmosphere, especially during colder months.

Please read to the end 🙏 😍

A lot of the people I welcome into my treatment space each week are working through trauma, grief, medical diagnosis, chronic pain, stress and anxiety among other things.

What I also see and hear a lot are from those who are caring/supporting others going through trauma, medical diagnosis, pain and stress...

Our natural instincts are to ask after and offer support to those who are the ones who are ill or suffering physically in some way (which of course is vital and exactly what any of us would do)...but I'm talking about those wonderful people who day in day out take on the pain and suffering and stress and tension of the ones they love and care for...

A while back a new client told me that no one had really ever stopped and asked her how she was feeling/coping with looking after her husband...it made me sad that she'd been forgotten about 😒

People who are valiantly caring for someone with cancer, neurological disorders, physical impairments or trauma of some kind really need support as well...often all they want/need is someone to just check in with them and ask how they are doing ✨️🫶👍

I can really feel that with clients that come to see me and I feel privileged to offer them a safe and calm space where they can be heard and feel nurtured and cared for ✨️🙏✨️

So...if you know anyone who could do with a little bit of support ~ a text message, phone call, asking them round for a coffee, flowers or anything that would cheer them up and show you've recognised what they are going through...do it ✨️🙌✨️

Did you realise that so many movement issues you have don't actually start at the knees, hips or back.

👉 They start at the feet 👣

But hardly anyone's looking there!!!

It makes sense that strong, mobile feet equal a stronger and more resilient foundation.

Think of your feet as the foundation of the house: look after them and build them strong, and everything above becomes more powerful and resilient.

I am always advising my clients about the wonderful benefits of foam/cork ball rolling and toe spacing or standing on an acupressure mat!!! 😜

L I S T E N I N G is one of the greatest skills a holistic therapist can possess.

Listening builds trust and rapport with your clients and creates that lovely bond that brings them back time and time again. By actively listening, you can fully understand your clients' concerns, emotions, and needs, allowing for a more personalised approach to each individual treatment.

Truly listening without judgement means as a therapist you can pick up on subtle cues and underlying issues that may not be verbally expressed (this is something I feel is very important).

I truly truly believe that effective listening provides that safe space where your clients feel valued and heard, enhancing their overall therapeutic experience.

Ultimately, it empowers us as therapists to provide more effective, tailored interventions that address the whole person (holistic!) —mind, body, and soul ✨️🫶✨️

Autumn is officially here! 🍂

Did you know that this particular season connects deeply with the Lungs and our organs of breath, immunity, and letting go...

Do you sometimes struggle with truly letting go?

Autumn is your reminder to gently release ~ letting go of summer, of old habits, and of what no longer serves you. Don't worry, I am still practicing!

Looking after our respiratory system as the days get colder is really important so here are a few simple tips for looking after your lung health this Autumn...

🍂Keep your chest and neck warm.

🍂Enjoy warm drinks and hot meals.

🍂Stay active ~ keep your lungs, heart and muscles warm

🍂Keep your house warm

🍂Try to breathe through your nose ~ the nose is very good at warming up the air to stop the lungs becoming irritated by the cold weather

Remember, Autumn is about creating space (letting go), boosting your breath, and aligning with nature’s rhythm ✨️🫶✨️

Did you know that these excretory organs all play a major role in our lymphatic system, helping our body cleanse and remove waste:

✨️Liver (metabolises toxins and hormones)
✨️Kidneys (filter and excrete waste via urine)
✨️Skin (sweat)
✨️Colon (f***l elimination)
✨️Lungs (release carbon dioxide and acidic gases)

The lymphatic system is the courier, but your excretory organs are the exit gates!!!

Here are some ways you can support the healthy function of these vital organs and help cleanse your lymphatic system:

💥Hydration
💥Move your body
💥Massage balls and rollers
💥Deep belly breathing
💥Dry brushing
💥Epsom salt baths or sauna
💥Reduce/limit exposure to environmental toxins

All these organs are stimulated during my reflexology treatments to help support the healthy functioning of your body and rejuvenate and restore ✨️🙏✨️
