RIDE THE WAVE:
A metaphor for life
Experiencing your emotions can feel overwhelming. Or can feel calm and everything in-between.
Points to remember:
When we see our feelings and situations in life as not permanent,we are able to accept that it will pass.
Dont try to push, block or suppress your feelings
Dont try to hold on or amplify your feelings.
Experience them as yours, and validate yourself.
Reminding yourself its ok to feel like your at the bottom, sinking, stagnant, stuck or overwhelmed. This too shall pass.
Reminding yourself when you feel at the top, high on life, energised, ready to play. That this too may pass.
And when you are just floating, there's no drama just a sense of calmness maybe even bordem. This too will pass.
Riding the wave means accepting wherever you are on the wave, holding tight, meaning doing whatever you need to do to protect your energy, practicing self care, rest or even celebrating your wins.
I've thought about this alot lately as I move through different spaces within my energy moment-to-moment, day-to-day, week-to-week.
Nothing is permanent. Your ok wherever you are in the wave.
