🎪 A Night at the Circus! 🎪

What a fantastic night we all had at the circus! The residents who attended were absolutely overjoyed — it was a truly brilliant experience for everyone involved.

There were fits of giggles all around when our Home Manager was unexpectedly called up on stage — a moment none of us will forget! Laughter, amazement, and joy filled the evening, creating memories that will last a long time.

We’re beyond excited to share that our residents and staff have been busy creating these two fantastic Halloween-themed wheelbarrows, and we’re so happy to announce that we’ve been awarded 1st place! 🥇

A huge thank you to Silver Hill Day Centre for inviting us to be part of this wonderful initiative. We’ve had so much fun and can’t wait to see more creative wheelbarrows in the future! 🎨👻

🌟 Employee of the Month – Congratulations, Louise! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that our Employee of the Month is Louise!

Louise will be leaving us shortly to welcome the arrival of her baby boy 👶💙 – and we couldn’t be more excited for her.

Lou is an absolute trooper – she never stops working, is always there to support her colleagues, and brings positivity to every shift. Even in the late stages of her pregnancy, she continues to power through like a machine 💪✨

Louise, we all love you lots. You're not just a fantastic colleague and friend, but we know you're going to be an incredible mummy too. 💖

Don has a lifelong love of trains and proudly spent many years building an incredible model railway in his garden. It’s something he still talks about with great passion 💬✨

So, our amazing activities team found the perfect trip — a visit to a heritage railway where Don could step back in time, enjoy the sights, and even have lunch on board 🚆🥪

✨ Today we had the incredible honour of hosting Gabi and Charlie’s wedding blessing here at Kenwith! 💍💐

Our beautiful resident Eldey couldn’t make it to her granddaughter’s wedding, so we brought the celebration to her – a truly touching and memorable moment. ❤️

Gabi, you were an absolutely stunning bride, and it was a privilege to support such a special day for you and Charlie.

☕ Macmillan Coffee Morning at The Pavilion 🍰

We are so lucky here at Kenwith Care Village to have a beautiful cafe and pantry space available to all our wonderful residents. This morning, it was put to perfect use as the resident community hosted a Macmillan Coffee Morning — and what a lovely event it turned out to be!

The sun was shining, the atmosphere was delightful, and the sense of community was truly heartwarming. Residents from across the care village — including the residential home and members of our wider community — came together to enjoy delicious cakes, tea, and good company, all while raising money for an important cause.

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, helped, or simply came along to show their support. 💚

A massive congratulations to Kathryn for being named our Employee of the Month! Kathryn has been recognised for consistently delivering excellent care and proving to be an invaluable member of the team, especially during challenging situations.

It was wonderful to involve the residents in the voting process. Many shared lovely comments, with one resident saying, “Kathryn is a lovely carer, always kind, and gives the best bubble baths!”

Reaching Out to the Community 🧶✨

Our residents love to knit, and our Activities Team would like to ask for your help!

If anyone has any spare or leftover wool they'd be happy to donate, we would greatly appreciate it. Our residents take part in a Knit and Natter group, which brings them so much joy, friendship, and purpose.

We are especially in need of white wool, as we’ve started making lots of little snowmen in preparation for Christmas! 🎄⛄

🌟 Care South Community Fund Supporting Star Acre Farm 🌟

The Care South Community Fund (formerly known as the Chairman’s 2020 Fund) was established in 2020 to show our appreciation and support for the wonderful not-for-profit groups and individuals who make a real difference to the lives of our residents, care at home clients, and staff.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Fund has recently been awarded to Star Acre Farm! 🐾💖

Star Acre Farm regularly visits Kenwith Castle with their amazing animals — bringing joy, comfort, and plenty of heartwarming cuddles to our residents. From Alpacas to Shetland ponies, their visits never fail to brighten everyone’s day!

A huge thank you to Star Acre Farm for the incredible work you do — your visits mean the world to our residents. 💜
