Come in and pick up your gluten-free and dairy-free Easter treats.

Silky Almond Chocolate Eggs and Rabbits are made by grinding freshly roasted almonds into a rich nut butter, which is then blended with Radek’s signature chocolate to create a "super silky smooth" and creamy finish. They are sweetened with coconut sugar and lucuma rather than refined sugars, offering a mellow sweetness that highlights the natural cocoa notes. Radek’s uses ethically traded cacao sourced from farmers who respect biodiversity and human rights, often paying significantly above Fairtrade standards.

Ombar Blonde Caramelised White Choco Easter Egg is a healthier, plant-based alternative to traditional white chocolate. It has a melt-in-your-mouth texture and dangerously moreish caramel flavour. Dangerously moreish! It contains roughly 1/3 less sugar than typical UK white chocolate and instead of refined sugar, it is sweetened with chicory root fibre, which acts as a prebiotic to support gut health. The flavour is built from real Madagascan vanilla, desiccated coconut, and Fair Trade cocoa butter, with no palm oil or artificial additives and tastes like a grown up Caramac.

Available now in the shop.
We have received this week's delivery from and it looks amazing.

New this week:

Cauliflower: organic cauliflower, grown slowly in mineral-rich soil, has an exceptional nutty flavour and a crisper, firmer crunch compared to the "mushy" texture of mass-grown versions. Don't forget the leaves. Organic standards mean the tender leaves are safer to eat. (Rebecca's favourite is to coat the leaves with harissa and roast them).

Mixed Kale: Mixing varieties allows for a range of textures; tender young leaves (like baby kale) are ideal for smoothies and raw salads, while sturdier curly leaves are perfect for kale chips. A single cup of raw kale provides over 600% of the Daily Value for Vitamin K, crucial for bone health and blood clotting, and more than 130% of the DV for Vitamin C.

Spring onions: Organic spring onions have a milder and sweeter taste than regular onions, making them ideal for raw use in salads, salsas, and garnishes. The leaves haven't been chopped off these beauties. The green leaves are especially rich in nutrients; organic standards make these safer to consume entirely.

These unassuming knobbly little roots are surprisingly good for your gut - naturally rich in inulin, which feeds your beneficial bacteria.
Ferment them, and you add live probiotic cultures too making them both prebiotic AND probiotic, a double whammy of gut health goodness from one humble vegetable.

We've teamed up with The Fermentation Hub this month to bring you a free seasonal step by step recipe to help you ferment your first batch of fermented Jerusalem artichokes. They're tangy, nutty, and much gentler on digestion than you might expect because some of the notorious side-effects are removed during the fermentation process.

Look what's new from Amary Farm 👀 Organic Purple sprouting broccoli (PSB) is a nutritional powerhouse that offers all the benefits of standard green broccoli with the added punch of high levels of anthocyanins, sulforaphane, and essential vitamins.

But PSB isn't just a side dish... here are our top 3 ways to enjoy it:

1. Creamy Vegan Broccoli & Lemon Pasta
This is a luscious, comforting main where the PSB provides a crunchy contrast to a smooth sauce.
The Base: Use a high-speed blender to whizz together soaked cashews, nutritional yeast, miso paste, garlic, and lemon juice until smooth.
The Broccoli: Sliced PSB is fried in a pan with a splash of water until it evaporates, then blistered with a little olive oil until slightly blackened.
Assembly: Toss cooked linguine or spaghetti with the cashew sauce and top with the charred broccoli and extra lemon zest.

2. Vegan PSB Tart with "Cream Cheese"
A simple yet impressive lunch idea using ready-rolled pastry.
The Crust: Blind bake a sheet of vegan puff pastry until golden.
The Filling: Spread a layer of plant-based soft cheese mixed with lemon zest and Dijon mustard onto the base.
The Topping: Pile on roasted PSB and cherry tomatoes, then finish with a drizzle of homemade herb oil or vegan pesto.

3. Purple Sprouting Broccoli & Herby White Bean Gratin
A protein-packed, rustic dish that works well as part of a vegan roast dinner.
The Beans: Sauté onion and garlic, then add cannellini beans and a splash of white wine, mashing some of the beans to create a creamy texture.
The Bake: Lay raw PSB spears over the bean mixture in a shallow dish, top with a herby breadcrumb or stuffing mix, and bake for 20 minutes until the topping is golden and crispy.

Don't forget, as well as our bountiful selection of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, you can order a veg box with them directly and collect from our Mill Street shop every Thursday.

New Product Alert 🚨 Sunflower Family Organic Sunflower Chunks are a plant-based meat alternative made from 100% organic sunflower protein. Their meaty texture and ability to absorb the flavours of the dishes they are cooked in, makes them a popular soy-free substitute for meat.

They are a protein powerhouse containing approximately 51g to 53.8g of protein per 100g. They provide about 20.1g of fibre per 100g and are naturally low in fat, containing only about 2.2g per 100g These chunks are free from common allergens including soy, gluten, nuts, and dairy, and contain no artificial additives.

Unlike many dried plant proteins, these do not need to be pre-soaked. They can be added directly to sauces, where they typically cook within 5 to 10 minutes as they absorb 2 to 3 times their weight in liquid, allowing them to take on the taste of stocks, marinades, or sauces.

The seeds are harvested in Europe and processed entirely in Germany. The protein is a sustainable by-product of sunflower oil production, which helps minimise waste.

Naturli's Do Not Call Me M_lk is designed as a direct "like-for-like" alternative to cow's milk, specifically matching the nutritional profile and functionality of semi-skimmed milk.

Why the Name?
The provocative name "Do Not Call Me M_lk" is a play on strict EU labeling regulations that prohibit plant-based drinks from being marketed as "milk". It highlights its intent to replace dairy while technically complying with these legal naming restrictions.

It is the first plant drink on the market to offer the same levels of protein, calcium, and vitamins (B2, B12, and D) as semi-skimmed dairy milk.

Not only is Do Not Call Me M_ilk delicious, iIt contains 3.4g of protein and only 45-46 kcal per 100ml, with a 2% fat content.

Expertly crafted from a unique combination of soya, rice, oats, and almonds to achieve a creamy texture without the "single-grain" taste of typical alternatives.

It maintains the same functionality as conventional milk, making it suitable for direct drinking, coffee, smoothies, baking, and savoury sauces.

Naturli claims it has less than half the carbon footprint of cow's milk and uses 100% plant-based ingredients, free from GMOs, added sugars, and artificial preservatives.

04/03/2026

Clearspring Kombu is a premium, sustainably harvested sea vegetable (Laminaria japonica) primarily sourced from the cold, nutrient-rich waters off Hokkaido, Japan. It is an essential ingredient in Japanese cuisine, valued for its deep umami flavour and high mineral content, particularly iodine.

Key Culinary Uses
Dashi Stock: It is the foundation of dashi, the savoury stock used for miso soup, noodle broths, and sauces. To prepare, soak a 5–7cm strip in a litre of water for 20–30 minutes, then slowly bring to a simmer for 5 minutes before removing.
Tenderising Beans: Adding a strip to a pot of cooking beans helps soften them, reduces cooking time, and improves digestibility by breaking down complex sugars.
Flavour Enhancer: The natural glutamic acid in kombu acts as a natural MSG, amplifying the flavours of other ingredients in stews, grains, and vegetable dishes.
Edible Vegetable: If soaked for an hour before simmering, it becomes tender enough to be sliced and used directly in salads or seasoned vegetable dishes.

Nutritional Profile & Health Benefits
High Iodine Content: It is exceptionally rich in iodine, which supports thyroid function; however, those sensitive to iodine should consult a medical professional before consumption.
Mineral Rich: It provides a natural source of calcium and iron.
Dietary Friendly: The product is vegan, gluten-free, and yeast-free.

Have you tried our Ethica CBD Sports Gel? It is highly regarded for its "game-changing" formula that combines CBD and CBG with natural botanicals to provide targeted relief for muscles, joints, and tendons. It is specifically designed to offer an immediate cooling sensation followed by deeper anti-inflammatory benefits to aid post-workout recovery and improve mobility.

Not sure if its for you? Come in and try the tester.

Unlike many standard CBD topicals, it includes CBG (Cannabigerol), often called the "grandfather of all cannabinoids". This combination is believed to provide greater benefits for muscle soreness and joint pain than CBD used in isolation.

It is uniquely formulated to address discomfort in muscles, joints, and tendons. The gel uses menthol and camphor to provide an immediate cooling effect that eases pain. Meanwhile, the CBD and CBG work to reduce inflammation and physical tension over time. It contains therapeutic botanicals such as black pepper oil (for warming and circulation), cajeput oil, and peppermint oil. The gel is designed to absorb quickly into the skin without leaving a residue, allowing it to reach deep tissue effectively.

The tubes are 98% bio-based, made from sugar cane waste rather than earth oil, making them 100% recyclable.

The formula is 100% vegan, THC-free, and rigorously tested in pharmaceutical-grade labs to ensure it is free from heavy metals, pesticides, and "nasties".
