Today, we have published our annual work-related fatality statistics.

The figures show 124 workers lost their lives in work-related incidents in Great Britain during 2024/25, down by 14 from last year.

Construction and agriculture remain the highest-risk sectors, with falls from height the most common cause of fatal injuries.

Sarah Albon, Chief Executive said: "Each death represents a tragedy for families, friends and communities. Fatal accidents are not an inevitable part of working life."

It’s been a hot couple of days visiting the groundworkers sites, so here are some useful advice for you busy construction workers with the heat - Stay hydrated 💦 Cover up as much as possible 🥷and wear sun protection ☀️, start earlier if you can to finish earlier, stay in the shade during breaks ☕️ 🙌🏽
