Another lovely testimonial from one of my fabulous clients.

This client came to me following a diagnosis of adenomyosis, which is a gynaecological condition that causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall of the uterus and a C-Section scar that was sore and red.

Following our sessions not only was her scar looking better and feeling much more comfortable but the lower back pain she had suffered with for many years has completely gone.

The adenomyosis symptoms and associated digestive issues have also improved massively with my client reporting that her iron levels are so much better that her hair and my nails are growing longer and stronger.

🌿 Hey there, lovely people! 🌿

I'm Jo, a dedicated holistic therapist with over 14 years of experience specializing in fertility massage, scar work, and abdominal massage. I'm incredibly passionate about the transformative power of therapy—I've seen first-hand the profound changes it can bring, from aiding conception to enhancing overall well-being. It's not just a job; it's my calling, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

🌟 Curious about my treatments? 🌟

Abdominal massage is fantastic for addressing digestive issues like IBS, and it's also beneficial for a wide range of gynaecological and fertility concerns such as endometriosis, PCOS, and fibroids.

Scar massage therapy, on the other hand, is designed to improve scar appearance, enhance mobility, and is particularly helpful for those recovering from C-sections or other surgical procedures.

🌿 But it's not just physical—holistic healing is about understanding the whole picture. 🌿

When working with clients, I delve into diet, stress levels, and other contributing factors to ensure we achieve the best possible results together.

📚 And yes, there might be a little homework involved! 📚

I'm a firm believer in empowering clients with tools for self-care. Each person receives a tailored program including nutritional guidance and self-help techniques like massage and yoga to support their healing journey.

Here on my Instagram, you can expect plenty of insights and support on gut health, hormones, menstrual cycles, scar tissue management, and overall wellness.

Did you know that Child’s Pose, a simple and restorative yoga position, can help improve your digestion? By gently compressing the abdomen, this pose stimulates digestive organs, helping to move things along more smoothly. It’s a natural way to relieve bloating and promote regularity.

Child’s Pose also encourages relaxation and reduces stress, which can significantly impact digestive health. When you’re relaxed, your body can focus more on efficient digestion and nutrient absorption. Plus, it’s a great way to take a moment for yourself and connect with your breath.

To try it, simply kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and fold your torso forward, extending your arms in front of you or by your sides. Breathe deeply and let the gentle pressure work its magic on your digestive system.

**As with all exercise make sure you are working within a pain-free range and exercise within your limits. Never force, strain, or practice through pain. Seek medical attention and advice as appropriate. Do not attempt any yoga poses or exercises for the first time without suitable experience and/or supervision.**

Suffer from heavy periods?

If you experience heavy periods, incorporating an iron supplement into your diet can be incredibly beneficial.

Iron is essential for transporting oxygen throughout your body and maintaining energy levels Heavy menstrual bleeding can lead to iron deficiency, making you feel tired and weak. By boosting your iron levels, you can improve your energy and overall well-being during your cycle.
Want to add more iron rich foods to your diet? Why not try adding nuts, seeds, wholemeal pasta and bread, legumes and dark leafy green vegetables to your daily meals

**If you think you could be iron deficient consult with your GP to find the right iron supplement for you.**

As children begin potty training, or even later, families often notice that their little ones struggle with regular toilet habits.

Sometimes, kids can go days without a bowel movement, leaving them uncomfortable, bloated, and often unhappy.

Dealing with constipation in children can be challenging for parents who want to help but may hesitate to rely solely on laxatives. Over time, it can feel like these only mask the problem rather than solving it.

Fortunately, there are alternative methods you can try at home to help, check out my blog post to find out how.

Dealing with diverticulitis? You're not alone.

Whilst this digestive condition can be painful and uncomfortable, better understanding of its causes can help you to better manage your symptoms.

Diverticulitis occurs when pouches form in the gut, causing issues like discomfort and irritation. These pouches, called diverticula, often develop from hard-to-digest foods, dehydration, stress, or a sluggish bowel.

Initially, your colon pushes these problematic foods to the side to prevent blockages, but over time, they can accumulate, leading to diverticular disease. When these pouches become inflamed or infected, it's known as diverticulitis, causing even more discomfort and potential complications.

While diverticulitis may not have a cure, there's plenty you can do to alleviate symptoms and improve your quality of life.

From dietary adjustments to stress management techniques, taking proactive steps can make a significant difference in reducing discomfort and promoting digestive health.

Abdominal massage helps to clear out the pouches helping massively with pain/irritation/inflammation and can reduce the number of flare ups and their severity

Looking for an easy to action digestion tip?

Start using a toilet stool…by elevating your feet and adopting a more natural squatting position while using the toilet, you align your body in a way that helps to relax the puborectalis muscle.

This makes it easier to pass your bowel movements and reducing the risk of straining or constipation.

Being in this position also helps to fully empty the bowels, reducing the risk of straining and the likelihood of residual waste build-up and potential blockages.

It also helps to support overall pelvic floor health by reducing the stress and tension placed on these muscles during bowel movements.
