Practicing Yoga eases my health-related issues, this took me to teaching because yoga is all types for all types! Hi, I am Jane 😊

I teach Hatha Yoga and Restorative Yoga at my mini studio in Biggleswade. I also teach at The Courtyard Wellbeing Centre in Biggleswade and at Henlow Grange in Henlow. I feel truly blessed that I get to do this! I love to support people to journey deeper within and truly love and discover themselves that bit more which can also help everyday life. I first experienced yoga in my 20’s, but it was an awakening in my 40’s due to health-related issues that watered the then planted yoga seed in my 20’s. As my health improved, I wanted to share my learnings, so completed my 200-hr yoga teacher training. I like to remind myself that you can feel just as amazing, strong and energised in a restorative pose, as you can in a more dynamic pose. The important thing is to accept where you’re at and have trust in yourself x

A teacher of many things continues through this stage of my life. This teacher, the menopause and wisdom as I listen more to what is important within.

Yoga alone can build a fabulous lifestyle in all ways, however, I had recognised that this body needed to also journey with gaining physical strength in a different way. My existing gym work wasn’t cutting it!

There was a need to understand my body in a different way, answers have been needed to the questions of pain and restrictions and then I found Nick. Nick is the miracle 🙏

After 15 years of many appointments else where with no avail, he just gets it, he gets us people.

He had taken into account this whole woman, the pains, restrictions, and barriers carried for many years. Worked with me for a year in the gym, ‘wind the clock’ forward ta dah, here I am, this very pleasing reveal of myself, growth doesn’t happen without challenges.

The foundational work had been crucial in order to work with what this body needed, and the work shall continue.

Taking an education is each area of skill to ensure we each build a foundation in that particular area can be hugely beneficial for longevity.

Never stop learning, that common quote ‘everyday is a school day’ is fundamental through-out life, we change, we learn, we grow!

Whatever needs to come into your life next, please welcome it and may I recommend starting with the foundations for longevity.

Polish the mirror to get rid of the grime and experience who you really are.

There are two levels of stillness.

👌 This first level is about being with yourself in order to know yourself.

Like you are polishing a mirror to remove the grime and see yourself clearly for the very first time.

1st level involves learning to relax, become centred and meditate. Deliberate pausing, stopping all physical movement, becoming relaxed, calm, and quiet inside. Consciously being conscious.

👌 Level two of stillness is…
Living your daily life with this new and growing inner certainty of who you really are, so meditation in action.

In the midst of daily life, this involves continually letting go of the judgements and contradictory opinions about yourself that arise in your mind throughout the day and in your relationships with other people.

Staying centred in your peace, learning to disregard any remaining criticism because in level one you experienced yourself in a new way.

Journey with me, step into my yoga studio, Bliss, which provides a peaceful and nurturing environment supporting life’s journey, balance and surrender.

Rest is crucial to prevent burnout, repair the body, and restore mental energy, fighting off symptoms like exhaustion, poor focus, and weakened immunity. Beyond sleep, true recovery requires incorporating many types of rest; including physical, mental, sensory, and social to combat daily stressors.

It wasn’t until I spent last week in sunny Spain, incorporating physical, metal, sensory and social change, all a rest in their own right did I realise just how much the break was needed at that time but more importantly how it reminded me how we can all ignore the negative signs of demands as they build, chip away at us, and we tend to plough through towards burnout or illness.

Do you need to see it to believe it?

I didn’t only see beauty witnessing this three minute sunrise this morning, it also reminded me that UK living brings much challenge with less light, less warmth, less energy, less life.

We don’t see depth with our physical eyes yet we all dig deep and with that hope, having faith, we continue to wade through the UK”s winters, trusting the process one day at a time.

I really wanted to share this sunrise, this reminder that we don’t need to see it to believe it because we have almost got there without it. Keep going, keep trusting, we are together 🙏 Spring has almost arrived 🫶

Some may rock up on the mat and guide the yoga class where it takes them in that particular moment, for me, planning classes is key.

Making time to sit in silence and connect with intuition brings me home to yoga, clarity. And it is then that pen goes to paper, a story unfolds!

Previous ‘in the moment’ personal practice flows, poses and pauses that my body has taken me to are put to paper, ta-dah 🧘
