CrossFit Quarter Finals cont...

WOD 4. Frustrated. 1k Row, Grace, 1k Row, HSPU. I just wanted one HSPU in the WOD, but got zero reps. Achieve one in the warm up but after 30 C&J I couldn't get a proper rep. I pushed up, arms straight but feet fell away from the wall. I then spent the final three minutes pushing to no avail. Annoyed. Strict work now takes priority.

WOD 2. BUZZING. 80 DB squat cleans, 40 BMU. The cleans were heavy! Oh my Quad! I've never achieved a BMU in a WOD before and just wanted one!! I got 8 clean reps! And a couple no reps! I'm so proud of myself for ending on a high.

I'm so grateful for the support I've had throughout, this weekend, juggling intense workouts I have no idea on, alongside parenting and normal life.

Almost 18 months from the day I stepped into CrossFit, this is my first Open and I got through to the Quarter Finals! Apparently that's good! I look forward to the next year and more competitions with friends 🧡

🏋🏼‍♀️ CrossFit Quarter Finals have commenced...

• My first attempt at the CrossFit Open, 2026
• Finished in the 81st Percentile Worldwide
• Got my little self through to the Quarter Finals!
• Madness 💪

WOD 1 completed today which gave me so much to work on: overhead squat position, mobility and having the confidence that I can do it. Completed it mate.

WOD 4 was attempt 20mins later, probably not the best idea, but squeeze it in where you can. I achieved 24 double unders without tripping which is a new record for me, proud my achilles held up for the entire 300DUs! I got time capped with 9 Deadlifts to go... 102.5kg! I didn't even know I could lift that weight, so I'm proud I got one rep in 💪
