Have you ever felt like you’re either “on it” or completely off track with your weight?
Yesterday a client sent me this message:
“Thank you for all your support, knowledge and encouragement. I feel as long as I improve a little every day, that is better than taking bigger steps and failing.”
Before we worked together, she had tried so many different diets. She would lose weight quickly, feel hopeful… then life would happen and it would all creep back on just as fast.
One reason this cycle is so common is because weight loss is often treated as a willpower problem. It is not. It is usually a consistency problem. Big, dramatic changes are exciting, but they are rarely sustainable in real life.
When I support someone, I am not looking for perfection. I look at daily habits. Meals, stress, sleep, routine. What can we gently improve that still fits around work, family and real life?
If this sounds like you, here are three small things you could try this week:
Add protein to your breakfast so you feel fuller for longer.
Sit down to eat at least one meal a day without your phone.
Go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual.
Nothing extreme. Just doable steps.
