In order to stay accredited as a registered Nutritionist every year I undertake ongoing training which helps me stay informed on latest research and evidence as well as products available to support my clients.
Today I attended 2 such training events.
The first provided oversight into an incredibly comprehensive new test designed to focus on all aspects of female s*x hormones, metabolism and detoxification. This test could provide real information to support women experiencing a host of female hormone issues, from Endometriosis to Menopause and from PMS to Fibroids.
The second session provided a great recap on some key heath conditions women may experience - PCOS, Fibroids and PMDD focusing on symptoms and the latest nutritional protocol support we can provide.

If you are living with female hormone imbalances that are negatively impacting your life why not consider how nutritional therapy can help you. - Contact me for more information.

I have worked with the wonderful Natural Dispensary for several years now as they provide an excellent range of supplements and health products that I can use personally but also recommend to my clients as required.

Whilst I focus on how food and lifestyle can optimise health, sometimes we need a little extra support and boost to help our bodies rebalance.

From time to time the Natural Dispensary provide practitioners such as myself with a range of products to sample. This allows me to have a better understanding of how the products work but also expands my knowledge to help benefit my clients.

This latest sample box contained electrolytes (can be helpful for rebalancing us), women’s multivitamin (good for all round health balance), Fibre support and enzyme support for digestion, nutrients to help support hormonal imbalances from PMS to Menopause and plant based support for health ageing.

If you are interested in understanding how you can take simple steps with nutrition and lifestyle to optimise your health and help minimise the risk of disease then this is for you. As women age and transition through menopause the risk of some chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and osteoporosis increases. Prevention is always preferable to cure so why not find out what the risks are and learn what nutritional changes you can make to help minimise them.

For more information and to sign up email me at info@alisonlovellnutrition.co.uk or see the female health link in my bio or DM via this post.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Have you ever felt like you’re either “on it” or completely off track with your weight?

Yesterday a client sent me this message:
“Thank you for all your support, knowledge and encouragement. I feel as long as I improve a little every day, that is better than taking bigger steps and failing.”

Before we worked together, she had tried so many different diets. She would lose weight quickly, feel hopeful… then life would happen and it would all creep back on just as fast.

One reason this cycle is so common is because weight loss is often treated as a willpower problem. It is not. It is usually a consistency problem. Big, dramatic changes are exciting, but they are rarely sustainable in real life.

When I support someone, I am not looking for perfection. I look at daily habits. Meals, stress, sleep, routine. What can we gently improve that still fits around work, family and real life?

If this sounds like you, here are three small things you could try this week:

Add protein to your breakfast so you feel fuller for longer.

Sit down to eat at least one meal a day without your phone.

Go to bed 30 minutes earlier than usual.

Nothing extreme. Just doable steps.
