As we head into a new year, I’ve been reflecting on what I’m ready to leave behind, to help bring clarity to making 2026 the best year yet at Animated Physio!
So here are 5 things I’m leaving behind in 2026… After a year that felt more full-on than ever!
1️⃣ Believing I have to do everything myself
Delegating isn’t letting go of standards - it’s trusting others to implement them too. I’m learning to let go of worrying about how that looks to others, especially on the days I’m not at the studio but am behind the scenes working on business development and staff management.
2️⃣ Saying yes when I really mean no
Protecting my time and energy allows me to show up better for my clients, my team and myself. Boundaries don’t make me less caring, they make my life & my business more sustainable.
3️⃣ Feeling like I have to be busy to prove my worth
For years I’ve worked very long hours for very little pay while building something from the ground up. Now, the business doesn’t need all of my time to be maintained and I’m learning to tell myself this is ok. I’m giving myself permission to step back a little and enjoy what I’ve built.
4️⃣ Comparing myself (& my business) to others
Comparison really is the thief of joy. There’s no competition - only collaboration. Different businesses have different values, are in different seasons, and so will attract different clients. I’m learning to trust that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be.
5️⃣ Measuring success by exhaustion
Success doesn’t have to look like burnout. I can be calm, have boundaries, and work sustainably, and Animated Physio will still survive (and hopefully continue to thrive!).
Here’s to a new year built on trust and intention. At Animated Physio, I hope you continue to help people move better, feel stronger and live with less pain - without losing myself in the process.
Hello 2026!
