Last week, to celebrate Mother’s Day, we shared flowers with some of the wonderful people we care for.

It was a small gesture, but seeing the smiles it brought made it very special. Moments like these remind us how important it is to celebrate the people who have spent their lives caring for others.

🌼 Spring Equinox 🌼

Today marks the Spring Equinox, the moment when day and night are almost equal in length and the official start of spring.

It’s a lovely reminder of new beginnings, longer days, and the small signs of change we start to see around us. Brighter mornings, lighter evenings, and the first signs of nature waking up again.

⭐ CQC rates Lincolnshire home care service as outstanding for the second time ⭐

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has re-rated Forget Me Not Home Care in Sleaford, Lincolnshire as outstanding following an inspection in January.

CQC has re-rated Forget Me Not Home Care as outstanding for how caring and well-led it is. Responsive went from good to outstanding.

💬 Amanda Lyndon, CQC deputy director of adult social care in the Midlands, said:
“Leaders had maintained the extraordinarily high standards of care we found at the previous inspection, providing person-led care which had a profoundly positive impact on people’s lives.”

“The quality of the relationships we saw between staff and people was outstanding. People and their relatives told us that staff were compassionate, respectful and went above and beyond for them.”

Inspectors found staff were highly attentive to people’s needs, visits were timely and reliable, and leaders fostered an inclusive, transparent and compassionate culture.

🤝 Working Together to Improve Safety

Yesterday, our team at Forget Me Not Home Care joined forces with the team from Old Hall to complete specialist training focused on fall reduction.

Falls can have a significant impact on confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing, so it is vital that we continue to learn, develop, and strengthen our approach to prevention.

It was a fantastic session filled with shared knowledge, practical skills, and collaboration, all with one goal in mind, providing the safest and highest quality care possible. 💜

Today marks the start of Neurodiversity Celebration Week (16–20 March).

This week is about recognising and celebrating the different ways people think, learn, and experience the world.

Neurodiversity includes conditions such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia and more. These differences can bring unique strengths, perspectives and ways of seeing things.

At Forget Me Not Home Care, we believe that understanding and accepting these differences helps create kinder, more inclusive communities for everyone.
