🌟 Happy Monday, Meet The Team 🌟

This week we’re shining the spotlight on another two members of the team at ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions. We asked them what they love about their role at ABC and to share a little fun fact about themselves!

Meet Gina our Trainee Hi CBT & Lisa our Trainee CWP

Gina returned to the team recently in January 2026 and said ‘I enjoy working with clients to support them in challenging their negative or anxious thoughts, so that they can work towards achieving their goals, but also acknowledging that it is ok to feel anxious and sad at times, as this is what makes us human!’

Lisa joined the team recently in January 2026 and said ‘I feel very lucky to do what I do. My favourite part of the job is seeing young people grow in confidence and helping families feel supported along the way. It means so much to me to know I’m making a positive difference and helping children have the best chances and happiest outcomes in life.’

🌟 Happy Monday, Meet The Team 🌟

We’re continuing our team introductions at ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions. We asked them what they love about their role at ABC and to share a little fun fact about themselves!

This week we’re introducing Nicole & Joanne, our Senior Child & Family Therapist

Nicole joined the team in September 2021 and said, ‘I feel extremely privileged to work with local children and families, witnessing their progress is so rewarding. I particularly enjoy doing this as a part of the ABC team because everyone genuinely cares for the wellbeing of our clients.’

Joanne returned to the team in October 2025 and said ‘I feel our ABC team are one big happy family and are very supportive of each other.

This is what I like about working with young people and their families, it can be so rewarding, identifying their strengths and support of each other.’

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go? ✈️🏝️

Nicole ‘I'd go to the Maldives, or anywhere quiet relaxing and sunny.’

🌟 Its that time again!! Happy Monday, Meet The Team 🌟

We’re continuing our team introductions at ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions. We asked them what they love about their role at ABC and to share a little fun fact about themselves!

Today we’d like you to meet Angie our Service Manager & Senior Therapist & Petra our Deputy Service Manager & Senior Therapist

Angie became part of the team in October 2016 and said ' I am so proud, privileged and grateful to be able to work in my capacity as a therapy, with the wonderful children and their families. I am so proud to be part of the ABC team, as they are amazing individuals with all the same shared values of kindness, dedication, commitment, integrity with the highest level of care and appreciation for everyone’s individual journeys. I know I am so fortunate to be able to enjoy each working day with wonderful people.’

Petra became part of the team in January 2018 and said 'I love being part of such dedicated and accepting team. Being able to empower my colleagues and equally being empowered by them is great incentive for me. I am honoured to be able to support each and every individual child and family coming through the ABC door. I learn/gain as much from them as they take away from us.'

This week we’re introducing Katie our Senior Administrator & Nicole our Administrator

Katie joined the team in April 2023 and said, ‘It’s a privilege to be part of such a lovely team, it’s incredibly rewarding to work alongside people who are so dedicated to making a positive difference.
I genuinely enjoy coming to work, it’s rare to find a workplace that feels this fulfilling, where you feel both professionally challenged and personally supported, and I’m grateful to be part of it.’

Nicole joined us in February 2024 and said ‘I love being part of the admin team here at ABC.
The role itself is varied & very rewarding, the best part is working with such a supportive group of colleagues who are always there to help and support each other’

🌟 Monday Meet the Team 🌟

Happy Monday! Each week were going to introduce you to a member of our team so you can get to know the people behind ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions.

This week, say hello to Karen & Peter our ABC Directors and Senior Therapists.
We asked them what they love about their role at ABC and to share a little fun fact about themselves!

Karen and Peter started ABC Counselling, Play Therapy & Family Solutions in 2015. Peter said ‘I feel fortunate to have seen the life changing differences made for children, young people and families. It’s wonderful to know that people want to stay connected, often staying in touch and keeping us posted. I’m really proud of how ABC relates and forms relationships that stand the test of time. Since it all begin in 2015, our dream was to create warm, welcoming and safe therapy spaces for local children and families to access. Thank you for your amazing support in enabling this to happen.‘

Karen said ‘It is such a privilege to support the children, young people and families that I have got to know over the last 11 years of ABC, and I feel very honoured to be a small part of their journey. I look forward to coming to work each day with our amazing ABC team and no day is ever the same 😊I am proud to say I work at ABC and it is lovely to be part of our local communities.’

📚 Happy World Book Day from ABC Counselling! 🌟

To celebrate, our team are sharing their favourite children’s books. These are the stories that help children explore their feelings, understand emotions, and build confidence all while enjoying a great story!

Books can be powerful tools for opening up conversations, helping children feel heard, and making tricky emotions a little easier to understand. From comforting classics to inspiring new favourites, our team loves using stories to support children’s growth and wellbeing.
