***Small price increase from 1st April***

A little update I’ve been putting off for a while…and hope you all understand 😅

After 3 years of keeping my prices the same, I’ll be making a small increase from 1st April due to rising costs and overheads.

New prices will be:
• Initial Assessment & Treatment: £49
• Injury Treatments & Sports Massage: £44

To give you a bit of notice — bookings made before 1st April will still be charged at the current prices, even if your appointment is after that date 💪🏽

I’ll still be offering club/group discounts as well as Blue Light discounts. If you’re part of a club or organisation and would like to get involved, just drop me a message.

Thank you all so much for your continued support — it really does mean a lot and allows me to keep doing what I love 🙌🏽🫶🏽

🏁 Back on the start line — and what a feeling 🙌

This weekend marked my first race in 6 months after ankle surgery late last year and a tough spell with illness. Going into it, I honestly didn’t know what to expect — but the goal was simple: be patient, run smart, and see where I’m at.

I focused on pacing discipline, holding back early and gradually building through the race — and it paid off. I managed to get a new 10-mile race PB, finishing strong and proving to myself that the fitness is still there.

One thing that stood out (as always) was the support and friendliness out on the course. Seeing so many patients and friends, it really does make a difference — and it’s a big part of why I love being involved in this community.

With my job, I see a lot of people dealing with setbacks, injuries, and time away from training — so this one felt especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t always linear, but with patience and consistency, you can get back to doing what you enjoy.

Now it’s time to build again 👊🏽

“Your child is overweight.”

That’s what many parents across the UK are told each year after school BMI checks.

This week we received the same letter about our son.

Looking at him, you’d struggle to believe it.

As a healthcare professional, I find this incredibly frustrating — because BMI in children is often a very poor measure of actual health.

BMI only considers height and weight.

It does not account for:
• Muscle
• Body composition
• Natural body shape
• Growth spurts
• Activity levels

Which means healthy, active children can be labelled “overweight” from a simple calculation on a chart.

BMI was designed as a population screening tool, not something that should be treated as a diagnosis of an individual child’s health.

Yet letters like this can easily worry parents and risk sending the wrong message to families.

What should we actually be focusing on instead?

Raising children who:

✔ Move their bodies regularly
✔ Eat balanced meals
✔ Play outside
✔ Develop confidence in their bodies
✔ Build healthy habits for life

A child’s health cannot be defined by one measurement taken on one day.

Let’s focus less on labels — and more on raising healthy, active and confident kids.
