Did you know Autumn is the perfect time for that extra TLC for your Equine Partner?
Has your Eventer or Competition horse had a busy summer on the hard ground?
Equine Shiatsu could be very beneficial before you turn them away for a well earned break, helping with any niggles and stiffness ensuring they get the most out of their holiday.
I currently have a couple of appointments available on Saturday 11th October in the Horsham area. Please get in contact with any questions or an informal chat.

At Equine Shiatsu by Michelle MacDonald we offer a unique shiatsu massage for horses or riders to promote well-being and relaxation of the mind and body. Based in the South East.

Another happy Client review....

I had the pleasure of receiving a course of Shiatsu from Michelle to help with severe knee pain following a micro fracture operation, alongside some problems sleeping. A combination of professional treatment, allied to her warm and friendly manner was of great help and benefit to me, and certainly aided my recovery. I cannot recommend her highly enough

For me, this is the best part and what Shiatsu is all about- Clients, both Human and Horses feeling better and improving their well being.

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions about the many ways of how Shiatsu can help you

I received a lovely review today from one of my Clients. Shiatsu can help People and Horses in so many ways, please get in touch with any questions

'Having suffered with back problems from poor posture and tight muscles from high-stress employment for many years, I have tried all sorts of different types of massage and chiropractic treatments without much success. When I heard about shiatsu, and not knowing much about it, I was interested but not overly optimistic as a result. I am really glad that I did give it a go. Michelle has a very calming way about her and the shiatsu was very gentle in its nature, very different to a sports or therapeutic massage. It was very effective and I found my muscles released and I was left feeling calm and peaceful internally and with an increased range of mobility in my limbs. I would recommend anyone to try a treatment with Michelle as the sense of bodily and mental relaxation she created is not one that I have found through normal spa-type or physio therapy massage.'

Here is a little clip of me working the Lung Meridian this is part of the Metal Element in Oriental Medicine. My left hand is holding the Lung Yu point on the Bladder Meridian which is part of the Water Element.
Note how he eyes are soften, the yawning, the chewing and the lowering of the head and neck. He is given time to process before checking the camera out!
The wonderful thing about Shiatsu- each treatment is individual to each person or animal.

EXCITING NEWS!

I am feeling very privileged as I have been invited and have now joined the Committee for

tESA- The Equine Shiatsu Association.

The Equine Shiatsu Association was set up in 2002 to publicise the benefits of Shiatsu for horses and also operate as a support forum for people practising and training as Equine Shiatsu Practitioners.

I attended their Yearly Conference and AGM which was incredibly informative and hands on.

We had amazing Demonstrations from Neil Saunders which was so informative and inspiring inaddition to a fabulous Presentation from Liz Eddy on Quantum Touch and Pandiculation. We had the opportunity to try some of these Techniques and I am looking forward to adding these new set of 'Tools' to my Toolbox
