Good Morning Pixies πŸ§šβ€β™€οΈ

When things are being created or upgraded it can be messy. When unexpected changes come or you find yourself tired and at your limit, it can feel consuming.

It’s important we acknowledge those moments as equally as joy.
It’s no longer of benefit to hide from the waves of change by β€œputting on a brave face”. Messy is beautiful.

All things are changing and light remains ahead of you in this moment. There’s a silver lining to be found and learned in everything.

Accept when you are tired. Be ok with not feeling 100%. Let the world see you can be raw, wild and still shine all at the same time.

Be you to the full - whenever you find yourself today. You really are beautiful πŸ’–

Magical sprinkles on their way to you today on the winds whisper of change πŸ’–πŸ‘ΌπŸ’™

It's a beautiful morning out there... if you haven't already, make sure you get your dose of fresh air today 😊 ...

Some good advice for scars.. big or small

🌿 What You Can Do at Home to Improve Scars

Your skin’s healing journey continues long after the wound closes β€” and there’s a lot you can do at home to support it. πŸ’«

Here’s how to help your scars heal smoother, softer, and stronger:

πŸ’†β€β™€οΈ Massage your scar:
Gentle, circular massage helps improve circulation and soften tissue over time. Stretching gently will be helpful. A professional Restore scar therapist can use a bigger variety of techniques.

πŸ’§ Stay moisturized:
Use silicone gels, sheets, or rich moisturizers to keep skin supple and reduce tightness.

β˜€οΈ Protect from the sun:
Always apply sunscreen β€” UV exposure can darken scars and slow healing.

πŸ•°οΈ Be patient:
Scars can take months to mature. Consistency really does make a difference.

Small daily steps can lead to long-term improvements in how your scar looks and feels. πŸ’–

πŸ”¬ Backed by Research:
O’Brien et al. (2020) *Journal of Wound Care* β€” Silicone gel significantly improves scar texture and color.

Monstrey et al. (2008) *Aesthetic Plastic Surgery* β€” Silicone sheeting and pressure therapy reduce scar height and redness.

Kwon et al. (2007) *Dermatologic Surgery* β€” UV protection prevents scar discoloration and worsening pigmentation.

How Well Qualified is your Therapist??

These days anyone can be an expert on anything! And access to so many on line courses means learning has never been easier.

But many of these courses are lacking the hands on experience that is really important, and the content may be lacking, so they don’t all meet the criteria to be registered with an appropriate governing body.

Why is This Important?

Being a member of a governing body, such as the Association of Reflexology (AOR) shows that the therapist has had the correct level of training and achieved the highest standard. They are also required to complete Continual Personal Development, so ensuring they stay up to date on best practice.

Just as an example, my Reflexology training took 12 months, involved 100 hours of case studies, a theory exam, a practical exam and a 2 hour Anatomy & Physiology exam! 🀯

My Manual Lymphatic drainage training took place over 5 days, had a practical exam and another (ridiculously hard) theory exam. Then in addition I have taken a further 2 courses to add to the techniques I use.

So do your research and check you have the best therapist to give you the best treatment, because YOU AND YOUR HEALTH MATTER 😍
