A reminder to all patients who are still eligible for the flu vaccination please arrange an appointment with the practice nurse on 0151 650 1098. With rising flu cases the flu vaccination is your best protection from serious illness.

Flu cases in hospitals have surged by 55% in the last week.

An average of 2,660 patients per day were in a hospital bed with flu last week. That’s enough flu patients each day to fill more than 3 whole hospital trusts.

The flu jab reduces your risk of becoming seriously ill this Christmas, and helps protect those around you.

Remember this flu season the flu vaccine is the best protection from serious illness. You can book an appointment with our practice nurse Theo who is available on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays, or alternatively you can get this completed at your local pharmacy. Please phone 0151 650 1098 if you would like to book an appointment at the practice.

If you catch flu and you have a certain long term health condition, you are at a much higher risk of being seriously ill or hospitalised.

We’re now offering free flu vaccinations for children aged 2 to 3 years at the practice with our practice nurse Theo. Flu can be serious for young children, but the nasal spray vaccine is quick, painless, and helps protect them and those around them. Appointments are available to book now and they can be arranged by phoning the practice on 0151 650 1098
