Christmas time is a special time of year to spend with our loved ones. However, for those living with Dementia and their families, it can also be difficult. This may be due to the person forgetting those both present and or not remembering when loved ones have died. New, noisy environments can be disorientating as well as having a normal routine change to accomodate festive activities. Here at Sylvan House we understand this and hope this post is helpful to those who may need it (credits to the Alzheimer's Society)

We have been really busy building links with community providers to enhance the activities we provide for our residents. Here are some of the plans we have made to carry us through until the end of the year.

The Residents here at Sylvan House have had a busy morning taking part in Gardening Club. We have planted some Coriander and Basil which we hope to use in future cooking activities.

We have been busy the last few weeks having stairwells and the upper corridor painted it looks amazing can’t wait for the finished project
