Family & Mental Health Education and Support
Making mental health support, well-being and resilience development integral to all our services. Our primary aim is to build the resilience, mental health and wellbeing of young people and families to enable them to live happy healthy lives through bringing people
together and providing non-judgemental support, learning, and volunteering
opportunities. Working as a non-profit social enterprise, we offer mental health support through the delivery of well-being and resilience building workshops and psycho-educational courses for families and young people, along with career and employability support; developing the necessary transferable skills to secure future employment. We empower individuals to build their foundations for the future.

We take a holistic approach to services providing wraparound support for all participants engaged with our parenting programmes, with family support coaching, peer-led support groups and activities, specialising in a trauma informed approach; making this an integral part of education and life experience.

17/09/2025 World Patient Safety Day is dedicated to ensuring safe care for every newborn and child, with a special focus on those from birth to nine years old. This year's slogan, "Patient safety from the start!", emphasizes the urgent need to act early and consistently to prevent harm throughout childhood, and yield benefits across the life course.

Please find below a couple of campaign objectives-

Raise global awareness of safety risks in paediatric and newborn care in all health care settings, emphasizing the specific needs of children, families, and caregivers.
Empower parents, caregivers, and children in patient safety by promoting education, awareness, and active participation in care.

09/09/2025- FASD Awareness Day- The 9th day of the 9th month is International FASD Day. This is to draw attention to the importance of going alcohol-free for the 9 months of pregnancy. In the UK we celebrate September FASD Awareness Month. FASD results when prenatal alcohol exposure affects the developing brain and body. FASD is a spectrum. Each person with FASD is affected differently.

⭐️⭐️⭐️This is our exciting news - COSMOS is joining with Rosemary Campbell SEND Coach on 26.9.25 at SEACOMBE FAMILY HUB. Join us from 10am-12pm to learn more about PDA and how you can help your young people. Also, take the opportunity to have a chat with COSMOS Wirral about the changes that still need to happen on the Wirral. ❤️❤️❤️ As always, a hot brew and a biscuit or 2 will be waiting! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

In partnership with The Quirky Community Hub, we have Rosemary Campbell in for a demand avoidance and PDA workshop. It is a relaxed welcoming workshop which will leave you with a better understanding of demand avoidance and all the tools you need to manage this difficult profile.

Our Story

Our services offer young people and organisations practical support in exploring and acquiring skills, completing tasks and further assistance in their careers provision and planning. Explore the website for useful information and links, free downloads, handy hints and case studies relating to careers. We offer a programme of interactive, stimulating and fun learning, predominantly through “doing”, designed to give participants practical advice, experience and information on ways to maximise their chances of finding employment or gaining a place on a study or training course.

We support parents and those supporting young people through

training programmes to support the development of well-being and resilience, parenting support and ways to manage stress. We provide information sessions on dealing with issues around internet and mobile usage and how to support responsible usage by young people.

We provide opportunities to volunteer within our organisations or other community groups in order to build skills, resilience and potentially lead to employment. We signpost and work with other community and voluntary sector organisations to support the needs of communities.
