Becoming a mum can be overwhelming, and for many women, early motherhood can bring unexpected mental health challenges.

Mums Matter is a supportive group programme for perinatal mums, designed to help you understand your mental health, build coping strategies and feel less alone.

✨ Typically mums tell us:
🗣️ “It is life changing”
🗣️ “This is for every mum”
🗣️ “I wish I’d known about it sooner”
🗣️ “It’s the best thing I have ever done”

If you’re a mum aged 18+, living in Wirral, with a child aged 0–3 years, this programme could be for you. You can be referred by a professional, or you can self-refer.

📅 New groups start at the end of January

Our Story

Wirral Mind, affiliated with the national Mind organisation, was established in 1967 to help people in our local community achieve better mental health. The organisation has an excellent track record and over 50 years experience in providing services to adults in our local community with mental health problems and learning disabilities.

Wirral Mind's services have developed in direct response to unmet needs within our community and are free and open to all.

We won't give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets both support and respect
