What was supposed to be a routine earwax removal turned out to be a major shock for the client when he realised there was a bead lodged behind his earwax, against the eardrum.

He has no idea how long it has been in his ear but noticed a huge improvement in his hearing once it was removed.

Earwax was building up in this clients ear for years. The patient reported having issues for many years but had acclimatised to it and never dealt with the issue. To her surprise, her ears were completely blocked with earwax deep into the ear canal and against the eardrum. As expected, an instant improvement in hearing was reported as well as the blocked sensation being relieved.

Soft wax against the eardrum removed.

Although the eardrum wasn't completely blocked with the earwax, the patient reported that it felt like "a stone is in the ear". Upon removal, she reported instant pain relief and her ear didn't feel blocked any longer.

The patient reported using cotton buds regularly which was beginning to cause pain in her ears and may explain how the earwax managed to get that deep in the ear canal to begin with.

The patient has been advised against using cotton buds and has been scheduled for an ear health check in 6 months time.

▪️EAR INFECTION AND WAX REMOVAL▪️

The patient reported severe pain in his ear causing him distress and affecting his social and work life. He believed this was due to occluding wax as his ear felt blocked and hearing was reduced.

He had been using olive oil drops in his ear but this wasn't helping. As you can see in the video, there was discharge in the ear canal which was cleared. This revealed ear wax and more discharge from an infection against the eardrum which was contributing to the pain the patient was feeling. This was also cleared from the patients ear and he has been advised to seek medical assistance via his GP for the infection.

Patient reported instant pain relief and his ear felt unblocked 👍🏼.
