Here’s what really breaks my heart…
We talk about diet culture all the time and the impact on generations to come but what about the world’s obsession with changing our faces?
Lines at any age yes even in your 20’s are normal!!!
Skin moves. Faces shift.
That’s part of being alive.
But when did a frozen, tight face become the definition of beauty?
Even teenagers don’t look like that!
I’ve never had anything cosmetic Botox, fillers, injections and I can’t lie, I struggle with it all I don’t get the appeal.
Not because I’m judging, I don’t see how this makes someone more beautiful.. it feels like just another way to stop people from truly loving themselves. Like truly!
Because when the tweak wears off, or the aging continues what then?
Do we despise ourselves until the next fix?
If your confidence disappears the moment the Botox fades… was it ever real?
It’s not self-love if it’s conditional.
And it breaks my heart that we’ve been sold the lie that we need to fix a perfectly human face.
Seeing such young beautiful girls practically altering their whole appearance! Still not being happy! Seeking and seeking more..
We don’t need to look younger. We don’t need to have the perfectly smooth symmetrical face to be beautiful.
We need to feel enough..as we are.
I know I’m in the minority on this but why do people do this would love to really know what made you start?
