🌟🎉 Metchley Manor Carnival – Part 2 🎉🌟

The highlight of the day had to be the amazing street food cooked up by our talented Head Chef, Scott 🍔🌭🍟. From tasty bites to delicious treats, it really brought the festival feeling to life!

With the beautiful backdrop we all worked together to create 🌸✨ and the wonderful stalls run by our visitors 🛍️, the whole day felt like a true carnival atmosphere.

It was a celebration of food, fun and community — and we loved sharing it with our residents, families and friends ❤️.

What an amazing day we had yesterday at our Metchley Manor Carnival! 🌞💃 A huge thank you to the Birmingham Samba Dancers for their fantastic performance and to everyone who came along – we had such a brilliant turnout and so much fun together. 💛

Our Carnival & Open Day kicks off Saturday 23rd August at 1:30pm!

Alongside family fun and friendly faces, this is a wonderful opportunity to come and see what we’re all about. At Metchley, our beautiful home is filled with warmth, joy and person-centred care that’s at the heart of everything we do – not just for today, but every single day. 💜

✨ Cavell Farnell, our Customer Relations Manager, will also be here to answer questions and chat about the care options we provide.

🌈🎉 Over the last two weeks, our residents have been busy creating something BIG… a giant collage backdrop made from crumpled coloured paper! ✨💜

Every twist and scrunch has been added with care, laughter, and teamwork — turning simple paper into something truly spectacular. It’s been wonderful to see everyone join in, helping one another and watching the backdrop come to life piece by piece. 💖

We can’t wait to unveil it at our Carnival this Saturday 🎪🎶 … it’s colourful, creative, and made with so much heart by our residents. 💐

Our mini bus trips have become a favorite for the residents, especially on these gorgeous sunny days! There’s always excitement as we hit the road, with everyone looking forward to the adventures ahead.

When we come back, you can really see the difference—each person has a lightness in their step and a big smile on their face! These outings not only provide a fun change of scenery but also enhance individual mental health, giving everyone a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy the fresh air. Here’s to more sunny days and happy trips!

🇯🇲 Jamaican Independence Day Celebration! 🇯🇲

This Wednesday, we marked Jamaican Independence Day with music, colour, and community spirit! 🌞🎶

The incredible Mighty Jamma filled the air with the sweet sound of steel pans, creating a truly Caribbean vibe that had everyone smiling and swaying along. 🥁✨

A special moment was shared during the raising of the Jamaican flag, led by our proud Jamaican resident Zereta alongside staff member Ellen – a beautiful tribute to heritage and unity. 💛💚🖤

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this important day – from the beats to the flag, it was a joyful reminder of culture, pride, and togetherness. 🇯🇲❤️
