Our practices will be closed for the Easter bank holiday on Friday 3rd and Monday 6th April. We will reopen on Tuesday 7th April at 8am.

During this time, if you need urgent medical assistance please call NHS 111. If you are experiencing chest pains or have any difficulty breathing please call 999. We kindly ask that you only attend at A&E if you require urgent medical attention.

We wish all of our patients a restful bank holiday, let's hope for some sun.

We are excited to announce the launch of our new 'AI Receptionist' option in our telephony system.

Patients calling in for appointments now have two choices: they can either speak with a human or interact with the AI agent. If they opt for the AI agent, it will utilise the patient triage form, asking the same questions included in the triage form. Within a few minutes, the completed triage form will appear in the patient system alongside other requests received on the day. A GP will then assess your request and come back to you on the same day.

As one of the first practices to implement this system, we believe it will provide a quicker and more effective service to our patients via the telephone, whilst giving additional support to our Reception Team.

Good afternoon,

This week has been busy across our practices, and we have received numerous compliments and expressions of gratitude. I would like to highlight three pieces of feedback that truly stand out.

Sarah, our Paramedic, received a wonderful compliment regarding her care and compassion during a recent home visit. She was described as "respectful, kind, friendly, and very empathetic," and recognised as an asset to the surgery. Well done, Sarah!

Claire, our Health Care Assistant, went above and beyond this week with an autistic patient. Her compassion and care were evident as she reassured him and explained each step of the process, achieving what was needed with great care and patience. Well done, Claire!

Laura, our Practice Nurse, received a handwritten letter of thanks from an elderly patient, indicating that she left a very positive impression. The patient expressed that Laura had "greatly increased my faith in the NHS!" Well done, Laura!

Thank you to all our staff for their hard work. Wishing our patients a wonderful and relaxing weekend. Let's hope the sun makes an appearance soon.

When it's Friyay and you get a surprise off one of your lovely patients! You have made Frankie's day, thank you so much :)

Frankie works in our Prescriptions Team and is the life and soul of the practice!

Good evening to all of our patients,

You may have noticed that we are undertaking some buildings work inside our Lordswood, Quinbourne & Quinton Family practices.

We will be introducing additional clinical rooms at Quinbourne and QFP. At Lordswood, the new changes will affect the reception area and the waiting area at the left of the reception desk.

At Lordswood's main site, we have received patient feedback regarding our lack of designated space and services for patients with disabilities. We value your feedback and we are introducing an accessible reception desk that is designed to accommodate patients with mobility impairments. We are introducing a Hearing Loop device for those with hearing impairments. There will also be 2 new clinical rooms introduced on the ground floor. We are keen to update Quinbourne & QFP with similar facilities in the future.

All work will be completed by 31st March 2026. We apologise for any disruption this may cause and we are very excited to bring about some positive changes to our practices.

What a beautiful bouquet of flowers received into the practice last week from a lovely patient, Sarah.

Our Practice Director & Paramedic (Sharon & Sarah) drove out to pick Sarah up and bring her in for her nurse appointments and then drove her home.

We are always busy at the practice but we do our best to take care of little things that matter to our patients, when we can.

Good morning to all Lordswood patients,

I am delighted to introduce myself as the new Practice Director for Lordswood Medical Group. Having joined earlier this year from a non NHS background, I am thrilled to be part of this dedicated team.

It has been a pleasure meeting many of our long-standing patients, and along with the Partners and staff, we are committed to meeting and exceeding your expectations. You may have already noticed some changes, such as the recent redecoration of the main Lordswood House site, with further enhancements planned for all of our locations.

I am particularly excited to collaborate with the Patient Participation Group (PPG), led by Jean Broadfield. The PPG serves as an advisory body fostering positive relationships between Lordswood and our patients. If you are interested in joining this team, please reach out to the practice for more information.

Our practice now operates from 0800-1830, Monday to Friday, with a triage process in place that has garnered positive feedback from many patients.

I eagerly anticipate the journey ahead with all of you.

Day 2 of total triage has shown our aim to provide fair access to all whilst promoting continuity and choice of clinician looks promising. Today, our GPs triaged 356 requests, phones and reception remain quiet. Access to us whether online, by phone or in person gives you the same level of service. Our reception now focus on helping people who need it. Access us via the NHS App by submitting a medical query or visit our website. We hope our service is improving for you all.

We have received some feedback letting us know that some of our patients have tried to book an appointment via our new booking system and are unable to locate appointments.
To request an appointment, please visit our surgery website Lordswood.org.uk and not Systmone Online.
This will take you to our website home page where you will see a Request an Appointment button. Once selected this will then take you to our appointments page and enable you to follow a link to the correct form.
Please note this will not take you to a screen to book an appointment slot. Instead, once your form has been triaged by one of our GPs you will receive a response within 1 working day.
If a face to face appointment is required you will receive a booking link in order for you to select an appointment time.
