THE MAGICIAN
The Magician is a card of manifestation. We talked in a previous Card related post that 0 is a potential. Number one is the magic. We have made space for the new to come, now it’s time to start manifesting it into our lives.
What is manifestation anyway? To put it simply, if you think it, it will come true. Focusing one’s intent into your desired outcome and then watching it come true is called a manifestation.
Let’s focus on a Card itself. My Momma Bear is sat on a red and white blanket, the coloures are crossing each other. Whenever I think of the colour white, I think of purity and innocence. It could also symbolise a blank canvas. Red on the other hand is passion, blood and something physical. The thought and desire two meet each other as a simple pattern on a blanket.
Momma Bear is surrounded by four items - a stick, wooden sword, a cookie and a kettle (in classic tarot it would be a wand, a sword, a pentacle and a cup) and each of them symbolises one of the elements (but about this in later posts). It tells us that she has all she needs, to make her wishes happen.
Above her head glows the lemniscate, symbol of infinity. This is a reminder that the only thing that can sometimes limit us are our thoughts. There is an infinite potential in your mind, don’t let yourself believe otherwise.
Even the growth around her isn’t coincidental. The word growth in itself promises just that - growth in spirit. The bushes around her can bear fruit. As it happens in nature, they don’t appear overnight. Whatever you are manifesting will take time to appear in your life.
What about Momma’s pose? She is sat on the ground and reaches her arm out to the skies. “As above, so below.”
Are there any other symbols I missed? Or maybe you yourself interpret the Card and it’s symbols differently? Let me know in the comments!
