Spring Awakening & Re-Birth 🌷

A mixture of the real stirring of Spring in the air, and the point of my own personal cycle is leaving me feeling quite balanced ⚖️

How & what does it feel like?
For everyone it's different, and for me at the moment it's about gently emerging and awakening physically (still lingering hibernation), but mentally and spiritually I can really feel Spring rising up 😍

My creative juices are FLOWING big time, which is both a blessing and can be very overwhelming, hence the need for the physical rest to balance it out 🙏🏻

'Things" are being birthed here there and everywhere at the moment lol, some small and some much bigger ideas and callings that I am opening my heart and mind to 💚

One thing I am so excited to re-birth is my Yin Yoga Workshops. I held these for many years all over Birmingham, but taking over Yoga Borne meant I was pulled in many directions and of course explored other avenues of interest - love a course, studying and researching me! 📚

Yin Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Eastern Philosophy and these areas have and will always have a huge space in my heart and my teachings, and I am delighted to be offering the first of hopefully many Yin Yoga Workshops at my beloved ❤️

This workshop is for anyone and everyone who has an interest in:

⭐ Rest and relaxation
⭐ The more subtle spaces, shapes and movements of Yoga ⭐ Taoism / Daoism
⭐ Traditional Chinese Medicine
⭐ The Elements

Yoga in the Park - Week 2 💚

Wellbeing warriors united last night in and we didn't let the storm dampen our spirits 🌩

Around 50 of us all together, what absolute legends!! 🤘🏼

These sessions are completely FREE of charge and beginner friendly 🤩

We took in the sounds of the storm as we began our practice and the sensations of the raindrops on our skin as we closed the practice 💧

The stormy weather added a real atmosphere to the practice, and the word "courage" was offered as a gentle focus point and intention 👍🏼

To celebrate Internarion Picnic Day, we are holding a Yoga practice 11:15am - 12pm followed by an optional community picnic down at The Shed 🧺

Grab yourself a cuppa from The Shed and bring some food to share if you can. We will be making some (hopefully) delicious post Yoga treats! 🥐

This is a family-friendly and donation based practice.
Suggested donation £5 adults / £2 under 18s.

Earth Day 2023 🌍

THANK YOU so much to those who joined us in the fresh air and sunshine, yes sunshine, of Cotteridge Park this morning - you are wonderful ☀️

April 22nd is Earth Day and many commemorate April as Earth Month.
Our honouring of this day was getting back to the beauty of, and appreciating nature all around us with Yoga in the Park! 🌳

The theme of Earth Day 2023 is "Invest in our Planet" and below are some starting points of how we can individually, and as a collective do this. 👇🏼

🌳 Plant trees.
❌ Reduce plastic consumption.
✉️ Participate in advocacy.
📒 Educate ourselves.
👕 Sustainable fashion.

At YB our values are compassion, connection and community.
This includes compassion and connection to Mother Earth and fostering a community that invests in taking care of this. 🫂

We are always looking for ways in which we can be more eco friendly, sustainable, and invest in our planet.
Some of the changes we have made in mind of this are below 👇🏼

🫧 Replacing throw away wipes with washable and reusable cleaning cloths.
♻️ Using reusable glass bottles for our products.
🧼 Refilling rather than re-purchasing.
👗 Vintage & Preloved Markets.

Part of our business that we are currently working on behind the scenes is RE:USE.
This is an initiative to encourage the practices of reduce, reuse, recycle 🙌🏼

We currently offer preloved books in the studio to purchase and will also be adding a small selection of preloved but good quality men's and women's sports and leisure wear to this! 📚 👕

Our ears and inbox are always open if you have any suggestions as to how we can continue along our path to invest in the planet 💌

No filter needed 💛

It feels like so long since I've had a wholesome weekend and any time off, spent time with and other special people.
Had a lie in, not been constantly responding to work related stuff on my phone. It feels that way because it has been ages. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Simple things like washing my hair - what a joy to be able to do today and take my time with it.
This may sound wild but running a bricks and mortar small business is absolutely wild. 🤪

I could go into it but now's not the time as I've just eaten delicious bangers and mash and might even be able to have an afternoon nap! 😴

Appreciate the small things, the special people, moments to slow down. Gosh I've missed it and need to make way for more of it. 🙏🏼
