Did you know that around 50% of women will experience a pelvic organ prolapse (POP) in their lifetime?

POP can significantly impact quality of life, and cause pain, bulge, urinary, bowel and sexual symptoms. Many people in our community report POP alongside UTI, and this topic is very important.

Researchers at the University of Birmingham want to speak with people in the UK who have either had, or been offered surgery for apical prolapse.

Apical prolapse is where the female reproductive organs, e.g. the womb or cervix, can bulge or hang down into the va**na.

Participation in the involves taking part in an interview with the researchers, in order to share your experience.

✨ Together we can close the gender gap in research!

This International Women's Day, we want to acknowledge our amazing community, the change they've already helped us make, and their contributions to our ongoing research.

The enthusiasm and support for research among the patient community is translating into progress, and we plan to keep that momentum going.
