The amount of times I hear “I only go on the sunbeds to get a base colour, so I don’t burn” 😩

Listen, I used to do it too. Because I was in my twenties and thought I was invincible and couldn’t fathom being in my 40’s. It is the thing I regret most. Even more than my first marriage. 🤭

If not for the skin benefits of avoiding excessive sun exposure, do it for the melanoma risk. That sunbeds haven’t been banned yet, blows my mind. Let alone nasal sprays, tanning supplements and tan boosting serums.

The only safe tan, is a fake tan.

I’d fallen out of love with lip treatments a little bit recently. No real reason why, you just lose your spark for things sometimes. But a refresher day has restored my love for all things lips 👄

Our Story

In 2016, i wrote a Facebook status asking for recommendations for an amazing eye cream (my crows feet had gotten out of control!). Almost everyone on my feed said “Just get Botox!” And I started to look into it. The more i looked, the more i thought “I could do this!” and Sinead McCann Aesthetics was born!

I qualified as a Nurse in 2006, and since then, have become an Advanced Nurse Endoscopist, and Non Medical Prescriber. I absolutely love my job, and still work full - time in the NHS. I often get asked if i plan to leave the NHS and my answer is always no! I love it!! However, as i’m getting busier, i’m planning on introducing a weekday clinic to cope with demand.

When i started to research the aesthetics industry, it became apparent that it is largely unregulated, and while there are lots of amazing practitioners, there are also lots of untrained, and unsafe practitioners. I have had clients tell me they have never been warned about the risks with others, i have been offered “Cheap fillers” via IG and Facebook (Just FYI all of the products i use are individually prescribed, and from Church Pharmacy in Loughborough) I am passionate about safety in the industry. I believe in informed consent, realistic consultations and safe practice.

When done right, toxin injections, and dermal fillers, can give amazing, natural results. I don’t think you should look like someone else, just a brighter, fresher version of you. I run my clinic alongside the amazing Laura, of BeBeautyful, in Toni and Guy, Sutton Coldfield.
