Downtime is minimal. I use a nanoneedle for a lot of treatments which breaks the skin to deliver the product to the right depth without causing too much trauma. I can never promise there won’t be a bruise, but it’s rare with this.

Chemical peels definitely strike the fear in to some people. Images like Samantha in S*x and the City leave people worried their whole face is going to peel off in one sheet! While there are peels out there that can do this, the vast majority are mild and the downtime is minimal.

You can expect some mild dryness, peeling or flaking skin. Chemical peels are a great way to target acne, congestion, pigmentation, fine lines and other skin concerns.

The important thing with chemical peels is how you prepare your skin before, and look after it afterwards.

- Avoid retinols/strong actives for 2 - 3 days before
- Prepare with a gentle skin routine in the preceding weeks

Our Story

In 2016, i wrote a Facebook status asking for recommendations for an amazing eye cream (my crows feet had gotten out of control!). Almost everyone on my feed said “Just get Botox!” And I started to look into it. The more i looked, the more i thought “I could do this!” and Sinead McCann Aesthetics was born!

I qualified as a Nurse in 2006, and since then, have become an Advanced Nurse Endoscopist, and Non Medical Prescriber. I absolutely love my job, and still work full - time in the NHS. I often get asked if i plan to leave the NHS and my answer is always no! I love it!! However, as i’m getting busier, i’m planning on introducing a weekday clinic to cope with demand.

When i started to research the aesthetics industry, it became apparent that it is largely unregulated, and while there are lots of amazing practitioners, there are also lots of untrained, and unsafe practitioners. I have had clients tell me they have never been warned about the risks with others, i have been offered “Cheap fillers” via IG and Facebook (Just FYI all of the products i use are individually prescribed, and from Church Pharmacy in Loughborough) I am passionate about safety in the industry. I believe in informed consent, realistic consultations and safe practice.

When done right, toxin injections, and dermal fillers, can give amazing, natural results. I don’t think you should look like someone else, just a brighter, fresher version of you. I run my clinic alongside the amazing Laura, of BeBeautyful, in Toni and Guy, Sutton Coldfield.
