Highlights from Day 1 walk…Our Camino Journey with B123 Walks Valencia to Tui to O PorriñoOur Camino journey began with anticipation and excitement as the B123 Walks crew touched down in Valença, a charming fortress town in northern Portugal. Nestled on the banks of the Minho River, this historic spot marks a key crossing into Spain along the Portuguese Camino. Spirits were high, boots were laced, and snacks were packed — the road ahead was calling.Crossing the iconic International Bridge from Portugal into Spain was symbolic and uplifting. One step in Portugal, the next in Galicia — just like that, we were in Tui. The towering cathedral welcomed us, its presence a reminder that pilgrims have been making this journey for centuries. We took a moment to breathe it in — the cobbled streets, the scent of eucalyptus in the distance, and the start of our real walking day. Then the long trek began. Tui to O Porriño is not the easiest stretch of the Camino — it winds through industrial areas, forests, Roman roads, and rolling hills. But as always with B123 Walks, there was laughter, encouragement, and the occasional stop for a cheeky café con leche or pastel de nata. We stuck together like a well-oiled hiking machine, cheering each other on through every blister and bump in the trail.By the time we reached O Porriño, tired but proud, we knew we had made more than just physical progress — we were walking not just through Spain, but through our own goals, thoughts, and friendships. This wasn’t just another hike. This was our Camino.Buen Camino from B123 Walks — more memories, more miles, and always more magic just around the bend.
