As a Domiciliary Home Care Worker at West Midlands Home Care (WMHC) LTD, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and high-quality care to individuals within their homes in Birmingham specifically areas such as Alum rock, Sheldon, Stechford, Sparkhill and Kings heath . Your dedication to providing support and assistance will contribute to maintaining the independence and well-being of our clients.

Duties:

- Provide personalized care to individuals based on their unique needs and care plans
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility
- Administer medication as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules
- Offer emotional support and companionship to clients
- Perform household tasks such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands
- Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Implement dementia care strategies for clients with cognitive impairments
- Provide senior care services with respect and dignity
- Deliver hospice care services with empathy and understanding

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related field is preferred
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required
- Knowledge of patient care techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with dementia care approaches is a plus
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols
- Experience in providing childcare or eldercare is beneficial
- Compassionate attitude towards those requiring care
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers

Job Description:

As a Care Assistant at WMHC, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our service users.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing Personal Care such as Showering, Bathing, Toileting, and pad changes.
- Assisting with Dressing.
- Preparing meals and Grocery Shopping.
- Completing light household tasks like Washing dishes, laundry, and vacuuming.
- Assisting and arranging prescribed medications.
- Organizing leisure activities and community interests to promote social engagement.
- Collaborating with other multi-skilled workers to create a tailored Person-Centered Approach.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including MAR charts, Care plans, and Log books.
- Promoting a positive, healthy, and independent lifestyle to improve the overall quality of life for our service users.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should:

- Hold a valid driverโ€™s license and have your own vehicle (Preferred).
- Possess a minimum of 1-year experience in Care Work (Preferred).
