Thankful Tuesday: sometimes we forget what is good in our lives and those who have supported us. Let’s be thankful, grateful and count our blessings... so what is good? Gentle reminders such as writing it down or making a collage can help when the road is a little rocky. A way to show kindness and gratitude to others can be simply sending a text of thanks, popping over with a baked cake or wishing them well and sending them positive vibes. Today I am grateful for all of you, thank you!

Mindfulness Monday: let’s start the week off by being present. Be in the moment - did you taste your coffee this morning, how about noticing your commute to work, or even simpler than that - how about paying attention to your breath? Mindfulness meditation practices such as the 3 minute breathing space can help in stressful situations. Take a few minutes out today and practice mindfulness in a non judgemental way, allowing whatever thoughts, feelings, sensations to pass.

Probiotics may relieve symptoms of depression, as well as help gastrointestinal upset, research from McMaster University has found. In a study published in the medical journal Gastroenterology (May 2), researchers of the Farncombe Family Digestive Health Research Institute found that twice as many adults with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) reported improvements from co-existing depression when they took a specific probiotic than adults with IBS who took a placebo.
