ππ The picture is of a Romanian dessert called Cozonac π. We just celebrated Orthodox Easter π°π£.
I'll share now how I ended up confronting my fear. I really like it, but since I became a resident of another country, I couldn't find that perfect Cozonac, you know, the one that really hits the spot. But I was afraid to make it myself.
ππWhy? Because it takes a lot of time β°, because it needs to be kneaded πͺ really well, etc.
The thing is, every year I tried from a different store πͺ, even homemade from others πΆ, but still not what I wanted. At some point, I decided to try a recipe without kneading. It was good, better than the store-bought πͺ one anyway, but still not the Cozonac I remembered...
So I gathered my courage and said I had to make it myself, to overcome this fear.
ππ And let me tell you something, it turned out tasty right from the first try π€£. Over time, I've tweaked the recipe, improved my cooking skills π... I only make it for Christmas and Easter because it takes so long to make, and because if I ate it daily, it wouldn't be as special anymore ππ But this is how my last Cozonac turned out, and I'd say it's the best one yet.
ππ What I want to emphasize is that it's all in our heads π§ , it's just fear, nothing real. When we manage to overcome our fear, wonderful things can come out of it, like this delightful dessert π₯°.
ππ I understand it's not always easy, but there are ways to ease the process. π
