What can you expect from this 3 day course?

✔️Gain an in depth understanding of the anatomy, function and pathology of the TMJ✔️
✔️To be able to clinically assess and correctly diagnose temporomandibular joint dysfunctions
✔️To learn the classification of the various TM Joint disorders
✔️Be able to prescribe, fit and adjust the relevant splints and appliances used for treating TMD
✔️To become familiar with Surgical Techniques commonly used during orthodontic treatment
✔️Learn how to expose impacted canines and buried omega Loops
✔️Learn how to carry out Labial and Lingual Frenectomies
✔️Be able to Identify when and how to implement the relevant surgical techniques in your practice

Dr. Stefan Cloete - Course Director
Stefan Cloete obtained his BChD with Distinction from the University of Pretoria in 1996. He worked in London in a Private practice before moving to Guernsey in 2004.

He completed a MClinDent in Prosthodontics with Distinction from the University of London (King’s College) in 2005. He has also completed Course 1-6 of the Clinical Foundation of Orthodontics and Orthopaedics and treated well over 700 Orthopaedic and Orthodontic cases

Has lectured internationally including presenting cases at the annual Congress of the Clinical foundation of Orthodontics and Orthopaedics in Texas in 2019

It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Dr Skip Truitt who passed away yesterday at his beloved home in Texas after a short illness. It was an absolute privilege to have known and worked with Skip for the past 35 years, helping him to pass on his passion for dentofacial orthopaedics. RIP Dr John "Skip" Wellington Truitt
