Cure Leukaemia

Cure Leukaemia Cure Leukaemia funds research nurses at UK blood cancer centres, giving patients access to treatments through clinical trials.

This support drives global significant advancements in blood cancer, impacting those affected by the disease. Cure Leukaemia funds the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) which delivers and gives patients access to globally significant and potentially life-saving blood cancer clinical trials. Cure Leukaemia funds specialist research nurses in 12 UK Hospitals and a facilitatory Hub based i

n Birmingham to accelerate setup, patients recruitment and delivery of pioneering blood cancer clinical trials. Through TAP trials can be setup in as little as 6 months compared to the standard timescale of up to 2 years. With more supporters, we will fund more nurses, we will run more clinical trials, we will save more lives, we will find a cure.

A huge Happy Birthday to Jack and Nigel Murray who celebrate their birthdays today and are preparing to take on the London Marathon for Cure Leukaemia on Sunday 🎉 🏃

Jack becomes our youngest ever marathon runner, turning 18 today, and is the second youngest runner in the London Marathon field this year!

Nigel has supported CL for a number of years after riding the Tour 21 and as CEO of Booths which has seen customers and colleagues raise over £500,000, which supports the funding of a specialist research nurse at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Good luck to both Nigel and Jack, and save some cake for an extra special celebration at the finish line on Sunday! 🎂
