UKCIL Are you ageing or living with a physical disability, mental disability, or illness and are you looking for home support? I found a great PA.

Our database can help you find, meet, and hire your next personal care assistant without any hassle. Take control of finding your ideal personal carer. Whether you get a personal health budget or fund your own care, you may want to meet your support needs by having a personal care assistant. A personal care assistant helps you do the things you want to do and supports you to take control of your life so that you can live more independently. Our extensive database is designed to help you find, meet, and hire your own personal care assistants directly and cost-effectively. Once you’ve posted your job on our site, we auto-match candidates who meet your needs and advertise across multiple sites to ensure you get the best choice of the most qualified applicants. Sign up only takes 5 minutes and we are on hand to help you during this process and beyond, as you require. Our annual fee, which may be covered by your personal health budget, is £96 per year, working out at just 27p a day. This includes unlimited recruitment searches, interviews, and hires of support staff for your own personal care - be it temporary or permanent and regardless of the skills being sought. What employers like you are saying about UKCIL:

"I was doubtful whether UKCIL would work because I'd had no luck finding personal care assistants through my local PA agencies and I'd not heard of UKCIL before. But, after using UKCIL, I'm pleased to say, I've had a flurry of applications and the UKCIL team were always on hand to help if needed." Sharon from West Bromwich

“My son has severe autism and has to have 24/7 care with a team of more than ten people. UKCIL allows us to recruit for all those positions we need, all year, for one fee which is covered by our local authority. It’s incredible value for money.”
Rita from Headingley

“It was so easy to set up my profile, especially detailing my specific requirements.”
Robert from Leeds

“I received five applications in just 48 hours. My local CIL organisation was a great help during the interviews. The whole process was great.”
Gladys from Wetherby

"The UKCIL website is my favourite website for finding a personal care assistant. It is a lot better than a standard job site as it’s clearly more focused on the area that I am interested in.”
Will from Yeadon

“With agencies in the past, I’ve had difficulty finding the right assistants and a lack of control. With UKCIL, when I am advertising, there is somebody overseeing the process and checking on how I am getting on so I do not feel on my own. Another benefit is being able to open and close my advert as many times as I need to in a year at no extra cost.”

Research shows that young wheelchair users do better when their mobility equipment enables them to access education, work, and social and leisure activities.

How does your NHS wheelchair measure up?

The Whizz Kidz Youth Board are conducting research into the suitability of the equipment provided to young wheelchair users by NHS Wheelchair Services.

To understand what works well and what may need improving, they would like to hear about your experiences of accessing NHS Wheelchair Services and about the equipment they offered or provided you with.

Our Story

We know how difficult it can be to find the right personal care. We have first-hand, ongoing experience of helping relatives and friends to live independently at home - including our parents, grandparents, a very poorly aunt and close neighbours.

Working with our loved ones has taught us what a difference the right care and support can make. Over the years, we’ve learnt to find carers with the right skills, but also the right personality.

The real need for people to find their own assistants, quickly and without spending a lot on agencies, led us to create the UKCIL database.
