The team had the honour of attending Fr Simon’s Introduction to the Church Mass, and what a truly lovely and uplifting occasion it was.

It was a beautiful service, filled with warmth, reflection, and a strong sense of community. Fr Simon’s presence and words were both comforting and inspiring, and we feel privileged to have been part of such a special moment in the life of the parish.

We wish Fr Simon every blessing as he begins this new chapter and look forward to supporting the community in the months and years ahead.💚

Today, on St George’s Day, we pause to reflect on the values of courage, honour, and quiet strength that have long been associated with England’s patron saint.

In our work, we are reminded every day of the importance of community, tradition, and supporting one another through life’s most difficult moments. Just as St George is remembered for his bravery, we see acts of courage in the families we serve — in love, in remembrance, and in resilience.

Wherever and however you are marking the day, we wish you a peaceful and reflective St George’s Day.

While the bank holiday weekend has come and gone our work has continued quietly behind the scenes—just as it always does 💚

We are proud to offer a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year service. Even when our premises are physically closed, we are always open and here for you whenever you need us.

Over this bank holiday, it has been a true honour to support the families who have entrusted us with their care. Being there in life’s most difficult moments is a responsibility we never take lightly.

Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out—day or night, we are always here.

The recent news coming out of Hull has been deeply upsetting for families across the country.

Reports of a funeral director admitting to serious breaches of trust, have shocked communities and highlighted just how vulnerable people can be at their time of greatest need. Over 200 families have been affected, with many left not knowing if they ever truly laid their loved ones to rest.

This is exactly why professionalism, regulation, and accountability in the funeral sector matters.

Our business has served our local community for over 20 years, we want to reassure families that we are committed to the highest standards of care, dignity, and transparency. We are proud to hold nationally recognised qualifications and adhere to the professional guidance and codes of conduct isuuesd by SAIF and BIFD — organisations that set the benchmark for excellence within our profession.

We fully support stronger legislation to help protect families and ensure that all funeral providers are held to consistent, regulated standards. No family should ever have to question the care their loved one receives.

If you are ever unsure, please ask questions. A true professional will never be offended — they will welcome it.

Trust, dignity, and respect should never be optional in this profession.

As Easter Sunday draws to a close, we take a quiet moment to reflect.

Easter is a time of hope, renewal, and remembering those we hold close in our hearts. For many, today has been filled with family, laughter, and new beginnings—but for others, it can also be a gentle reminder of loved ones who are no longer with us.

This evening, we are thinking of all the families we have had the privilege to support. Please know that remembrance is its own kind of love, and those we miss remain part of us always.

However you have spent your day, we wish you peace, comfort, and a quiet sense of hope as night falls. 💚

Happy St. Patrick's Day
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand."

As we reach the end of Mother’s Day, we’re reminded that today means something different to everyone.

For some it’s been a day of celebration, for others a day of remembrance. Some are celebrating their first Mother’s Day, some are missing their Mum deeply, and others may find today particularly difficult for many personal reasons.

Whatever today has meant for you, please remember to be kind to one another. A little understanding can go a long way.

And if today has been a hard day, please know you’re not alone. We are always here for anyone who may need us 💚

Mother’s Day Tribute 💚

This Mother’s Day, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible women who shaped us, loved us, and helped make us who we are. Mothers come in many forms — mums, nans, step-mums, aunties, and those special women who cared for us just like a mum would. Their love never truly leaves us.

Here is one very special lady we are proud to call ours — lovingly known to our team as Mommy Urwin. A beautiful woman inside and out. Always remembered, always loved. RIP beautiful lady 💚

Mother’s Day can bring many emotions, especially when someone so important is no longer with us. But their memory, their lessons, and their love continue to live on in the stories we share and the lives they touched.

Today we invite you to join us in celebrating all mothers — those still with us and those watching over us. If you would like to, please share a photo or a memory of the mum, grandmother, or special mother figure in your life who means the world to you, even if they are no longer here.

Let’s fill this space with love, remembrance, and gratitude for the women we are proud to call Mum. 💚
