⭐️🤰 Pelvic girdle pain in pregnancy and postpartum 🤰⭐️

It’s important that we don’t see pelvic girdle pain (PGP) as just part of pregnancy and that it’s inevitable and it should just be put up with. There’s a lot that can be done to help symptoms 😊🙌.
Physiotherapy can help reassure you that your pelvis is stable, safe and self-manageable 😊 (Pulsifer et al., 2022).

We can look at posture, adapting lifestyle and educating women, physical activity, external supports and massage and mobilisation as appropriate😃.

Thank you to my recent clients for these lovely reviews that highlight that PGP is manageable and treatable 😊🙏.

Helping women to stay active and function well during pregnancy 😊🙌.

is also a recommended practitioner on the website.

🏋️‍♀️🌟Postnatal Rehab back to strength training 😊🙌🌟🏋️‍♀️

Here is one of my amazing clients who has been amazing with her Postnatal Rehab and has recently took place in a weightlifting competition 😊🙌💪.

Postnatal rehab starts with a thorough postnatal assessment tailored to your goals and needs. We then go through a personalised exercise programme to help you reach these aims 😃🤜.

Safe and effective return to exercise and sport is key to ensure that strength is rebuilt well after pregnancy and childbirth 😊🤰👩‍🍼.

Great work for being such an inspiration to the postpartum community 😊🙌🙌.

🌟Hypopressives training this week with has been brilliant! 😊🌟

Hypopressives can be a great way to get the pelvic floor activated. They work in a different way to pelvic floor exercises in that the theory is that they create an abdominal vacuum to improve the tone and strength of the pelvic floor. The idea is that they help the pelvic floor to be more anticipatory and it’s helping the pelvic floor work automatically with the breath 😊🙌.

It’s a great option for those who have tried pelvic floor exercises and they haven’t quite worked fully to achieve the effects they would like to.

I’m really looking forward to implementing them into my practice 😊🙌.

⭐️ I’m really excited to have been asked to speak at another company’s Menopause Support Programme at work ⭐️

I’ve been asked to deliver a talk and presentation on Pelvic Health in the Perimenopause and Menopause 😊.

It’s great to see more Menopause support programmes at work. To help promote a supportive and open culture around Menopause in the workplace 😊🙌.

Talks like these can hopefully help enable women to feel that they can speak about their symptoms, if they choose to, in a supportive caring and environment.
Helping women to work confidently and effectively creating a positive and open environment between employers and staff.

⭐️ Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week is 5th -11th May 😊⭐️

This year the theme is ‘Community’ and helping to build a safe and comfortable space for people to talk about how they feel and what they are experiencing. Remembering that they’re not alone 💖.

1 in 5 women experience a perinatal mental health condition. Let’s not suffer in silence. Let’s create a safe and compassionate environment to help talk about our experiences ☺️.

There are some really useful support groups and resources out there such as .

Let’s talk and ask people how they’re doing ☺️💖.
