💜 YouTube is great! There’s so much choice and free content on there, but it’s also super overwhelming! 💜

Sometimes you just want to turn up and be told which poses to do and when to breathe, rather than spending your precious time deciding who to practice with, how long for and what to focus on.

I know I’ve definitely felt disappointed after spending ages searching for a class that resonated with me on YouTube, only to find it wasn’t what I was expecting! And don’t get me started on the classes that don’t include a Savasana at the end 🤯

But YouTube doesn’t know your name, it doesn’t remember that you just got back from your hols or that you have to modify some of the poses, but I do!

The on-demand library keeps that community vibe (which I don’t think you don’t get on YouTube) and the live classes feel like our old in-person classes, so you won’t feel silly following along or disconnected from the group. This helps you stay accountable and committed to your regular practice (even if your life is irregular!)

Even though our on-demand library is full of videos, our members find it easy to navigate and not overwhelming when they are looking for a specific class length, focus etc because I’ve tried to lay it out in a way that doesn’t give you decision paralysis.

Our on-demand library members also take part in our Tea, Cake and Savasana Club, which is a monthly, members-only check-in where we do a bit of journaling, Yoga and catch up with tea and cake (online). Can YouTube offer that?!

So that’s why I believe our on-demand library is much better than YouTube, so you agree?!

🤣 REAL reasons to join our Online Yoga Classes 🤣

I know you already know the benefits of joining an online Yoga class - not having to leave the house, no problems finding a car parking space, no commitment etc… but what about the REAL reasons we all love online Yoga?

Having a snack mid-class is probably my favourite reason, but Pet Yoga is a close 2nd!

(And yes, I do know that you shout at me in Chair Pose, that’s why I put you on mute 🤣)

Our online Yoga classes have been running for over 5 years now and what started as a this-will-do-until-life-returns-to-normal-again during the lockdown, has now become normal life for most of us!

And to think I kept saying “we’ll run these classes for another couple of weeks” back in 2020 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had absolutely NO IDEA that they would still be running in 2025!

We 💜 our online Yoga Classes, our online Yoga Community and the freedom it gives us to practice (and for me, to teach) from anywhere and at anytime!

My Yoga classes are great (even if I do say so myself 🤣)…but it’s the community that keeps everyone coming back.

Welcome to the Tea, Cake + Savasana Club! Our feel-good Yoga circle where connection is just as important as cat-cow. 💜

Even though we aren’t physically together, in our community
🫖 You’re never just a name on a Zoom screen
💬 You’re seen, heard, supported + laughed with
🍰 You get to show up exactly as you are, be that in your PJs, with tired eyes, a full heart or anywhere in between
🧘‍♀️You feel lighter, calmer and you realise you aren’t alone. Even after just one session.

This isn’t just about the Yoga, this is about being part of an amazing community. And a really excellent excuse for tea + cake.

Our next Tea, Cake + Savasana club is taking place on Thursday 24th July and will be on the theme of Ahimsa (non-harming). The session will include some physical Yoga poses, Pranayama (breathing exercises), relaxation and journaling with time to chat afterwards.

Let’s talk about your body’s natural cycles in a few ways:

Even if your work/life responsibilities remain the same throughout the year, you’ll move through seasonal energies, often without realising!

🌱 Spring brings new ideas and plans to grow
🌞 Summer asks you to stretch out and enjoy connections
🍂 Autumn invites decluttering, reflection and nesting
❄️ Winter is the time for stillness and rest

And if you menstruate, you’ll likely experience a natural 4-phase rhythm each month, similar to the seasons:

🌱 The Follicular Phase (Spring) brings energy and creativity
🌞 Ovulation (Summer) brings social, confident and expressive vibes
🍂 Luteal Phase (Autumn) invites us to focus and turn inwards
❄️ Menstruation (Winter) is the time to slow down, rest and release

You might even notice changes in your energy during the day, where you’re more alert and active in the morning (Spring), sluggish in the afternoon (Autumn) and dreamy in the evening (Winter).

So instead of resisting these energy shifts, what if we actually worked with them?! Could you try a short walk instead of a 3pm coffee? Or maybe some energising Pranayama or Yoga poses in the morning (during the Spring phase) and something slower and more restorative in the evening (Winter phase).

This week, could you become more aware of what season you’re in and make one small change to work with it, rather than against it?

This week’s blog post is something you’ve probably heard me talk about before, living in cycles!

Just like the moon, the tides and the seasons, our energy levels, mood, motivation, creativity and even our physical body aren’t meant to be exactly the same everyday.

So why do we run ourselves into the ground trying to keep everything at the same level?

This isn’t about making huge changes in your already busy schedule, it’s about noticing when you’re forcing something and easing off when you need to.
