EY, from our Birmingham supported living service at Stanhope, previously found it difficult to go out and would often stay indoors.

With consistent encouragement and tailored support from the team, EY has been working on building confidence and accessing the community more independently. 🙌

Recently, EY has enjoyed shopping trips, days out, and even a visit to Drayton Manor Park…. a fantastic step forward. 🐾

It’s great to see EY engaging with new experiences and making the most of opportunities in the wider community. 💚

Are you an experienced leader in supported living and ready to elevate services for adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs? Midway Care Group is looking for a passionate Locality Manager to join our team in Tamworth, offering up to £40,000 (depending on experience) .

💡 What You’ll Do:
• Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of supported living services
• Serve as Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with CQC and safeguarding
• Develop person-centred care plans promoting independence and choice
• Recruit, coach, and develop your team to deliver outstanding support
• Drive service quality, occupancy, and stakeholder engagement

✅ What We’re Looking For:
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
• Proven experience managing supported living or similar services
• In-depth understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, and service improvement
• Strong leadership, organisational, and relationship-building skills
• Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel

We had a fantastic time recently celebrating Billy’s 60th birthday at the Hartsill Club! 🥳

Billy, who lives at our Farriers service, was joined by friends, family, and teams from Toler, Uxbridge and Riversley for a big party with cake, dancing, karaoke, and lots of fun! 💃🎤🎂

Colin from Coleshill Road is making great strides at the YMCA charity shop in Chelmsley Wood, where he volunteers twice a week, from 10:30 to 12:30. 🛍️

This is part of Colin’s personalised, person-centred care and support plan. With his Midway Support Worker nearby to offer support if needed, Colin is encouraged to work as independently as possible….choosing tasks, interacting with others and growing in confidence every day.

These small steps are having a big impact. Volunteering helps Colin build skills, structure his week and connect with his local community. 💚💙

At Katherine House in Erdington, we’re proud to support people in living life their way… making their own choices, setting individual goals, and enjoying their individual activities.

It’s lovely here to see Mandy, Mark, Joanne, Paul, Tariq, Rose and Sean all enjoying a variety of recent activities.

From planning shopping trips and cooking meals, to music practice, creative activities, increasing money skills, learning life skills and heading out to places like Chester Zoo, the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the LEGO store - each step was shaped by the individual, with support from their Midway Care Support Workers 💙💚

The people we support at Coleshill Road and Alcott Lane have been making the most of the recent beautiful weather in Birmingham ….and what better way to enjoy it than with fun and fresh air! 🌳💚
