Hi Folks

Just letting you know, that in my clinic nothing will change regarding Covid 19 safety recommendations. For example mask wearing, hand sanitising etc will stay for the time being. This is keeping with existing British Acupuncture guidelines. Stay safe everyone.

Still open, but in a much reduced capacity.

Well here we are again, in the latest, (and hopefully) last lockdown.

My professional body the BAcC has advised us, that as a medical service we can open to treat patients. These are people who, in my professional judgement, fit into the category of Urgent Care and High Needs. This includes the treatment of mental health issues such as anxiety and stress, chronic pain, those suffering from Long COVID, and time dependant treatments such as IVF support and fertility.

Barnt Green Acupuncture Clinic is open again on 04/01/2021. My governing body the British Acupuncture Council’s (BAcC) guidance is, that we can treat people if, in our professional judgement we consider that person has high needs. Included in this category are fertility treatments, anxiety/stress, pain, and other conditions.

The BAcC advises its members, that clinics can stay open regardless of the alert level, on the basis we provide a medical service. We were allowed to continue practicing during the last lockdown. At the moment we are in tier 2, but that could still change.

I have recently had an antibody test which was positive, having had COVID in October, (caught from my husband during self isolation). For the time being, this possibly affords me some protection until I am vaccinated. However that hasn’t changed how I work. There are strict rules regarding PPE, for both the patient and me.

I am always at the end of a phone should anyone wish to talk to me about treatment. Please don’t hesitate to call 07900251270.

So happy my clinic is open again for all treatments, albeit with lots of changes in these strange times. If you come for treatment you will find me in a face mask, plus a visor when I get closer to you. I would require you to wear a mask and there is plenty of hand gel available for your use. As you can imagine every touchable surface is cleaned and disinfected.

At first this seemed very strange but it’s amazing how quickly you adjust. Come they day when I don’t wear a mask, it may make me feel naked.
